The primary aim of Online Blackjack is to beat the dealer’s hand. To do that, you need your hand to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. Cards two to ten are worth whatever number is on them, face cards are all worth ten, while aces are worth either one or 11 – you can choose an ace’s value based on which number improves your hand. 

Before cards are dealt, each player places a bet. This is done with chips, which are put out in front into a designated area. 

Each player is then dealt two cards, both of which are face up. The dealer also gets two cards, however, only one will be face up. You, the player, then get a choice. You can ‘hit’ and ask for another card. Or you can ‘stand’ and hold what you have until the end of the round. 

You can keep asking for additional cards on your turn until you decide to stand. However, if you go over 21, you are ‘bust’ and lose no matter what hand the dealer holds. If you are dealt 21 at the start, you got Blackjack. 

Once all players have played their hand, the dealer turns their face-down card up. If their total is 17 or more, then they must stand. If it is 16 or less, they continue to take cards until they are up to 17+.
