Previous Winners of Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe

Ace Imapct, ridden by Cristian Demuro, won in 2023, trained by Jean-Claude Rouget. Alpinista, ridden by Luke Morris, was the 2022 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner. The five-year-old went off as the 33/10 favourite in the betting and lived up to her price to become only the second mare to win the race after Corrida (1937).

Before that, 2021 saw a seismic shock when 80/1 outsider Torquator Tasso was first across the finishing line. Meanwhile, 2020 winner Sottsass went off with Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe odds of 13/2.

As of 2023, eight horses have managed to win the race on two occasions. Ksar was the first to do so with victories in 1921 and 1922, before Motrico, Corrida, Tantieme, Ribot, Alleged, Treve, and Enable all followed suit.

Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2025 Trainers and Jockeys

Frankie Dettori is the most successful jockey in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. The iconic Italian has triumphed eight times, winning with Lammtarra, Sakhee, Marienbard, Golden Horn, and twice with Enable. He is set to retire at the end of the year but is expected to compete in the race – could he bow out with a ninth Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe victory?

Ryan Moore is a two-time winning jockey, having ridden to victory on Workforce in 2010 and Found in 2016. He was aboard one of the race favourites – Savethelastdance – when he won the Cheshire Oaks, and they could pair up again for the 2023 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Meanwhile, last year’s winning jockey, Luke Morris, is looking for back-to-back wins.

André Fabre is the race’s most successful trainer, with eight wins under his belt. His most recent victory was in 2019 with Waldgeist, and he hopes to be back inside the winner’s enclosure in 2023. John Gosden has had plenty of recent success, winning with Golden Horn in 2015 and Enable in 2017 and 2018. Meanwhile, Aidan O’Brien and Criquette Head have won the race twice each in the last 16 years.

Who will the successful jockey and trainer be this year? Have your say with BetVictor’s Outright 2025 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe odds.
