Mini Games
Medusa has traded petrification for coin management, which feels like a fairly sensible career change. Cash Flip Medusa Gold from Snowborn Games uses a 5x3 grid with 20 paylines and builds its main feature around six coloured Orb pots. Each colour can activate a different modifier inside the Medusa Bonus, from multipliers and collectors to extra respins and a second reel set. Several modifiers can also work together, giving the bonus far more variation than the base grid initially suggests.
Medusa's corner of Greek mythology is surprisingly easy on the eyes. Instead of dropping us into a crumbling temple, Snowborn Games places the reels beneath a dark sky overlooking misty countryside. Gold coins gather around the foreground, while Medusa herself stands beside the grid holding a glowing orb. The snake hair naturally prevents the scene from becoming too serene.
Ancient objects fill the reels, including a chalice, helmet, column and gemstone ring. We also get a large green snake as the strongest regular symbol. The restrained scenery leaves plenty of room for the coloured Orb pots and feature effects to stand out once the Medusa Bonus begins. Hot Cells receive their own visual highlight as well, making changing positions easy to follow without turning the grid into a light show.
The card ranks sit at the lower end of the regular paytable before the Greek artefacts raise the potential values. The snake stands above the other regular symbols and shares its listed payouts with the Wild.

Whenever a coloured Orb is collected, its matching pot can potentially activate. More than one pot can become active from the same spin, with as many as six modifiers working together.
The feature begins with three Coins already placed on an otherwise empty grid and three respins. Every newly landed qualifying symbol resets the counter to three. This familiar structure appears across plenty of online slots, but the six modifier combinations give Cash Flip Medusa Gold considerably more to change from one round to another.
The red modifier turns a landed Red Bonus symbol into a Coin carrying a potential value from 1x to 75x the stake. That value is then added to between one and five randomly selected Coins already on the grid.
The aqua modifier targets between one and five Coins and multiplies their values by x2, x3 or x5. The Aqua Bonus symbol then converts into a regular Coin.
A Blue Bonus symbol collects the potential values from three to seven Coins and adds the resulting amount to its own position. We therefore get one larger Coin built from several existing values.
Purple Bonus symbols become Coins carrying potential values from 0.2x to 5x. Once active, that value is added to newly landed Coins for the remainder of the feature.
The orange modifier changes the respin reset value from three to four. Every new qualifying symbol therefore replenishes the counter to four instead of the standard three.
The pink modifier adds a second 5x3 grid. Both reel sets operate with separate respin counters, effectively doubling the area available for Coin and modifier activity.
Random grid positions can become Hot Cells during any Medusa Bonus spin. These cells have a higher chance of receiving any symbol currently available within the active bonus setup.
Coin values can include regular potential amounts alongside Mini, Minor and Major prizes. Filling the whole grid awards the Grand, while collecting five Diamond tokens during one Medusa Bonus awards the Mega prize.
Cash Flip Medusa Gold uses five reels, three rows and 20 fixed paylines. Potential combinations need three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right, starting with reel one.
The base structure remains conventional, with the Wild helping regular line results while coloured Orbs handle progress towards the Medusa Bonus. Once that round begins, paylines stop being the central concern. The feature moves to a respin format where landed Coins remain in place and each new qualifying symbol refreshes the available spins.
The six pot system can change that structure substantially. Extra Spins alter the counter, Double Reels adds another grid, while the other modifiers manipulate Coin values. That gives the bonus mechanics far more flexibility than the standard 5x3 layout suggests.
Several online casinos carry games built around Hold & Win systems, but these three make particularly useful comparisons through theme, provider or collection mechanics.
Cash Flip Medusa Gold makes a stronger case for itself once several pots activate together. A standard respin grid is familiar territory, but changing the reset counter, adding another reel set or letting modifiers interfere with existing Coin values gives each round more room to behave differently.
We particularly like Double Reels and Sticky Booster because both alter the feature for more than a single instant. Payer and Multiplier are useful, though they feel more familiar.
The Greek setting looks good without becoming excessively grand, and Medusa finally gets something to do beyond glaring at people until they become garden ornaments. Our main reservation is complexity. Six colour coded modifiers take a little learning, but once their jobs become familiar, the system is straightforward enough to follow.
