Scottish Championship betting odds at BetVictor, your home of online football betting. For teams plying their trade in the Scottish Championship, a place in the top tier awaits. And while you might think this is a division packed with some of Scotland’s smaller clubs, that is where you are wrong. Over the last few years, we have seen Dundee derbies at this level, epic encounters between Hearts and Hibs, and Rangers passing through on their way back to the big time.
With the champions promoted to the Scottish Premiership and second, third, and fourth-placed teams given the chance to reach the promised land of the top-flight via the play-offs, it is fair to say the action in the Championship is very competitive. And at BetVictor, we are with you every step of the way with Scottish Championship odds on the outright winner, relegation scrap and the top markets for every match.
If you are all about season-long predictions, check out our range of outright Scottish Championship betting markets. You can bet on the outright winner at any point during the season on the BetVictor Sportsbook, with each way terms paying three places available.
You will also find an array of Scottish Championship betting markets for individual matches. Choose from popular markets like Match Betting, Both Teams to Score, Total Goals – Over/Under, Goal in Both Halves and individual goalscorer markets across every match.
Unfortunately, for some of the teams in the Championship, the scores can look slightly lopsided when the big boys spend some time down here. In recent seasons we’ve seen a 10-0 win for Hearts over Cowdenbeath in 2015 and a 6-0 away win for Rangers at Dumbarton in 2016. To make things a bit more interesting and to see the top teams start with a disadvantage of your choosing, we offer the full range of Handicap betting, including 3-Way Handicap during the 90 minutes, Asian Handicap and Asian Goal Line.
Scottish Championship football can change in an instant. But with BetVictor, our In-Play Scottish Championship betting markets allow you to bet live as the action unfolds. This enables you to react to every goal, corner, card and refereeing decision.
As is the case with any encounter north of the border, Scottish Championship football can change in an instant.
Our In-Play Scottish football betting will keep you up-to-date with every goal, corner, red card and refereeing decision. And if things aren’t going your way at anytime during the 90, you can use Quick Cash Out whenever you want.
According to the outright Scottish Championship betting, Dundee United are clear favourites to win the title in 2023/24. The Terrors were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last season, but the odds suggest they are fancied for an instant return.
Raith Rovers are another team tipped to be involved in this season's Scottish Championship title race. Ian Murray's side endured a frustrating campaign last year, finishing seventh place. However, they strengthened their squad in the summer with many signings, including Callum Smith, who hit 13 goals for Airdrieonians last term.
Making up the three favourites in the Scottish Championship betting are Partick Thistle. The Jags enjoyed a fantastic end to the season after Kris Doolan was appointed manager in February 2023, winning 12 and losing two of 22 matches. After qualifying for the play-offs, they made it to the final after hammering Queen's Park and Ayr United in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Ross County ultimately beat them on penalties in the final, but there is optimism that they can continue their end-of-season form into the 2023/24 campaign.

Each season, one team is automatically promoted from the Scottish Championship. Behind the champions, the next three teams qualify for the promotion play-offs, alongside the club that finishes second bottom in the Scottish Premiership.
At the other end of the table, the bottom team is relegated to Scottish League One. Whoever ends the season in ninth place must battle to retain their position in the second tier in the play-offs, alongside three teams from League One
Aside from the league champions, winning promotion via the play-offs has been difficult for Scottish Championship teams. Only two clubs have won the play-offs in the last six seasons, and both finished in second place – Livingston (2017/18) and Dundee (2020/21).
Two clubs were relegated from the Scottish Championship in 2022/23. Cove Rangers finished bottom of the league and automatically dropped into Scottish League One. Hamilton Academical finished one place above via goal difference and went into the play-offs, where they were beaten in the final on penalties by Airdrieonians.
Dundee are the most recent winners of the Scottish Championship. The Dee had been relegated from the Scottish Premiership the season before and began as 7/4 favourites in the Scottish Championship betting. They lived up to their odds, winning 17 of 36 matches to finish first.
It was the third season in a row that the Scottish Championship winners were a relegated team. Kilmarnock and Hearts also achieved the feat. Will a relegated club win the Scottish Championship for a fourth year running in 2023/24? Make your predictions with BetVictor’s Scottish Championship betting markets and odds.
