According to the outright Scottish Championship betting, Dundee United are clear favourites to win the title in 2023/24. The Terrors were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last season, but the odds suggest they are fancied for an instant return. 

Raith Rovers are another team tipped to be involved in this season's Scottish Championship title race. Ian Murray's side endured a frustrating campaign last year, finishing seventh place. Each season, one team is automatically promoted from the Scottish Championship. Behind the champions, the next three teams qualify for the promotion play-offs, alongside the club that finishes second bottom in the Scottish Premiership. 

At the other end of the table, the bottom team is relegated to Scottish League One. Whoever ends the season in ninth place must battle to retain their position in the second tier in the play-offs, alongside three teams from League One

Hamilton Academical finished one place above via goal difference and went into the play-offs, where they were beaten in the final on penalties by Airdrieonians.

Dundee are the most recent winners of the Scottish Championship. The Dee had been relegated from the Scottish Premiership the season before and began as 7/4 favourites in the Scottish Championship betting. They lived up to their odds, winning 17 of 36 matches to finish first.
