American Roulette is different from European and French Roulette because it has an extra green pocket. Even though there is an extra number on the wheel, winning straight-up bets still pay out at 35/1. This mismatch between the payout and the total number of pockets increases the house edge, meaning your chances of winning are lower compared to European and French Roulette.
