Sugar Rush was met with huge praise from punters when it was released in 2022, with the range of unique mechanics standing out against the crowd. Just like with most popular online slots, a rework was introduced and in this case, the new title comes with a festive twist. The Sugar Rush Xmas slot features a wintery background, including animated snowflakes and a snowman. Interestingly, the gobstoppers in the machine to the right of the machine have also been swapped out for baubles, further solidifying the Christmas theme.  

Just like in the original Sugar Rush, this release features 7 rows and 7 reels, meaning that up to 49 symbols can appear during the same spin. The minimum stake size sits at 0.20 and the 'Cluster Pays' mechanic remains active, meaning that at least 5  identical symbols must appear in adjacent positions in order for a matching combination to be formed. All icons that are part of a cluster will also be removed from the board, making space for new symbols to drop in.

Multiplier Spots  

When a matching cluster is formed initially in Sugar Rush Xmas, the corresponding positions will be highlighted with an empty sweet wrapper. Should another cluster appear on the same spots, the wrapped will display a 2x multiplier that is applied to any combinations that cover the position.   

This multiplier will double, up to a maximum of 128x, for every subsequent cluster that lands on the position. Should more than one multiplier be used for a cluster, the respective values will be added together before being applied. During the base game, these spots will reset at the end of the spin, too!  

Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 scatter icons simultaneously will bring into play the main bonus mode, awarding 10, 12, 15, 20, or 30 free spins, respectively. During this round, the multiplier spots will not reset between spins and another 10, 12, 15, 20, or 30 free plays will be added to the tally, should 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 extra scatter symbols land in any position.
