Halloween Wins 3 Slot Game Review

Haunted houses usually keep one unpleasant surprise in the attic. Halloween Wins 3 prefers to scatter them everywhere at once. Red Rake turns the third trip into this gothic series into a 5x4 slot packed with horror staples, from Dracula and Frankenstein to a grinning mummy that looks far too pleased with itself.

The setup is busy, but not in a bad way. This is a 50 payline game that keeps throwing side features at the reels, whether that means wild respins, a wheel bonus, or a ghostly mini game hiding behind the main action. If subtlety was ever invited, it clearly got lost in the corridor.

Theme & Graphic

Halloween Wins 3 seems to be a horror movie set with an increased budget and the instruction to make use of all of it. The reels are placed in a sinister-looking tomb room that is illuminated by candles and pumpkins, and contains so much supernatural debris that a paranormal investigator could spend weeks sorting through it all.

The symbol set does a decent job of carrying the mood. Dracula takes top billing, then a black cat, a ghost, and a hearse keep the monster parade moving. The royals glow in bright haunted colours, which gives the lower end of the paytable a little more personality than usual. There is also a nice sense of progression to the whole setting. Earlier casino games felt like you were circling the haunted house. This one suggests you have finally made the poor decision of going inside.

Payout Table

Halloween Wins 3 uses a 5x4 layout with 50 paylines. Wins pay from left to right, and the symbol values range from colourful royals to the more dramatic residents of the mansion.

Special Symbols

  • Wild: The Dracula Wild substitutes for regular paying symbols and can also pay on its own. It is tied to several of the game’s more active features, so it does more than stand around looking smug.
  • Expanding Wild: This version can cover a full reel and improve line wins in a hurry.
  • Scatter: Landing 3 bonus symbols triggers 10 bonus spins. During the feature, 3 more scatters add 5 extra spins.
  • Frankenstein Symbol: Landing 3 Frankenstein symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers the Triple Electric Wheel bonus.
  • Mummy Symbol: The Mummy can move into its side panel and may trigger the Halloween Ghosts Mini Game.

Bonus Features

Dracula Respin

If the Dracula Wild lands fully stacked on the middle reel, the game triggers a one spin Dracula Respin. The full reel wild stays locked in place while regular Dracula Wilds can land on the surrounding reels.

It is a simple idea, though it works well because the centre reel is already doing the hard part. From there, the respin just needs a few extra wilds to turn a decent setup into something more useful.

Expanding Wilds and Random Wild Multipliers

Expanding Wilds can land on any reel and stretch to cover the full reel they appear on. Alongside that, potential wins involving wilds may also receive a random multiplier.

That multiplier can jump as high as x20, which gives these wild based wins a bit more bite. The game does not rely on this happening constantly, which is probably wise, but when it does turn up, it gives the base game a needed jolt.

Triple Electric Wheel

This feature triggers when 3 Frankenstein symbols land on reels 1, 3, and 5. Frankenstein then spins the first ring of the wheel to award a prize. If the wheel lands on an electric pocket, the next ring activates and the prize potential improves.

It is a lively little side feature and probably one of the more amusing parts of the game. The three ring format gives it a bit more tension than a standard single spin prize wheel, and the escalating prize values make the whole thing feel slightly less decorative than these features sometimes do.

Halloween Ghosts Mini Game

When a Mummy symbol appears, it may move into the mummy panel and trigger the Halloween Ghosts Mini Game. This plays out on a 3x3 grid using pumpkins, ghosts, mummy multiplier symbols, blanks, and jackpot symbols.

The feature runs on a respin setup where special symbols reset the counter. Ghosts are collected by pumpkin collectors, while mummy multipliers increase the value of positions before disappearing. It is the busiest feature in the game, though not the hardest to follow once it starts moving. There is a lot going on, but at least it is going on for a reason.

Bonus Spins

Landing 3 bonus symbols awards 10 bonus spins. Before each spin, a random multiplier is selected and applied to any wins from that round.

If 3 more bonus symbols land during the feature, 5 extra spins are added. There is also a safety net built in. If the full feature returns less than 10x the stake, the game adds 4 more spins after the last one. That continues until the round reaches at least that level, which is a fairly practical touch in a game that already enjoys stuffing extra mechanics into every dark corner.

Spin Mechanics

Halloween Wins 3 runs on a 5 reel, 4 row grid with 50 fixed paylines. Wins land from left to right, beginning on the first reel, and standard combinations need 3 to 5 matching symbols. There are no cascading reels here, so the structure is more traditional than some of the game’s feature count might suggest.

Most of the movement comes from the special features rather than the reel engine itself. Wilds can expand, respins can lock in a full central reel, and the bonus spins feature adds a random multiplier before each round. So while the base layout is straightforward, the game keeps trying to liven it up with side features arriving from every direction.

Similar Slots

If you like your slot games with a darker look and a fair amount going on, these are the closest recent matches:

  • Castle of Terror 2: Another horror themed slot that leans into gothic imagery, wild features, and a bonus round with multiple moving parts.
  • The Grim Reaper: A gloomier supernatural game built around spooky visuals and feature progression instead of a single simple hook.
  • Eye of Horus: Legacy of Gold Jackpot King: Not horror, but another feature heavy slot where the main attraction is how several mechanics stack on top of each other.

BetVictor's Opinion

Halloween Wins 3 feels like the sort of slot that looked at one monster and decided that was nowhere near enough. We get Dracula, Frankenstein, a ghost, a mummy, and a haunted carriage for good measure, all crammed into one feature heavy sequel that rarely sits still for long. It is messy in places, but it is knowingly messy, which helps.

We quite like the fact that the game keeps building on the series rather than pretending each entry arrived from nowhere. The mummy mini game is the obvious new talking point, while the wheel bonus and bonus spins keep the middle of the game busy enough. Not every feature lands with equal impact, but there is enough here to keep the tomb door open.
