Circuit Shock Slot Game Review

Circuit Shock by Rarestone Gaming doesn’t bother warming up. It plugs right into the high-voltage end of the online slot games. With 6 reels, 4,096 ways to win, and features zapping across the screen like loose wires, this one isn’t designed for the slow-paced crowd. The game’s Lightning Symbols, split bonus spin modes, and three fixed jackpots give it a spark that lands it among the more prominent titles on the online casino circuit.

Theme & Graphic

Circuit Shock is all flashing lights and electric vibes, literally. The slot pulls its style from the world of circuit boards and high-voltage gear. Symbols range from glowing card ranks to gold bars, diamonds, and coins, all with neon outlines. It doesn’t reinvent the slot wheel, but it does run it through a power converter.

Payout Table

The Circuit Shock paytable is made up of both low-paying letters and higher-value riches, with all symbols paying from left to right on adjacent reels. Here's how the main symbols line up in terms of potential payouts:

Special Symbols

  • Wild Symbol: Appears on reels 2 to 6 and substitutes for regular pay symbols. It doesn’t trigger any bonus features but shows up just often enough to be useful.
  • Scatter Symbol (Power Ball): Can appear on any reel and triggers the Bonus Games Bonus when three or more land.
  • Lightning Symbol: Carries fixed cash values or jackpot labels. Can trigger the Lightning Feature if on reel 1 or 6 and connected to others.

Bonus Features

Lightning Feature

This is where Circuit Shock gets its name and, arguably, most of its charge. Lightning Symbols can land on any reel, but if one hits on reel 1 or 6, it electrifies and so does everything connected to it. Adjacent and diagonally touching Lightning Symbols join the chain, and their potential prizes are collected into the Tally Meter. If a chain runs from reel 1 to 6, the total prize can be doubled. Lightning Symbols can contain fixed multipliers or jackpot prizes, including the Minor (20x), Major (200x), and Grand (2,000x) jackpots.

Bonus Games Bonus

Three or more Scatter symbols trigger the Bonus Games Bonus, and the player is given a choice between two modes: Lightning Reels or Gold Reels. Each comes with a different set of reels and mechanics, and neither can be retriggered once started.

Lightning Reels Bonus Spins

This option gives a smaller number of bonus spins (2–7) depending on how many Scatters landed. During these rounds, only Lightning Symbols appear, and they do so more frequently. Since the Lightning Feature is still active, the potential for chain reactions is high, especially with a lucky start on reel 1 or 6.

Gold Reels Bonus Spins

Gold Reels is the more traditional option, offering between 6 and 30 bonus spins. Lightning Symbols are removed entirely, and the grid is stuffed with high-value Gold Bar symbols instead. Wilds remain in play, and all other symbols act as they do in the base game.

Spin Mechanics

Circuit Shock runs on a 6x4 grid with 4,096 ways to win. Wins are awarded for matching symbols on adjacent reels from the leftmost position. There are no paylines to think about, just ways. The Wild appears on all reels except the first, and the game throws in extras like a Turbo Mode with three speed settings. The symbols could land stacked occasionally, giving the reels some density when the grid gets going.

BetVictor’s Opinion

Circuit Shock has the visuals, the pacing, and just enough high-voltage gimmickry to keep the grid humming. The Lightning Feature is the standout here: it’s reactive, layered, and could sometimes lead to genuinely surprising wins. That said, the base game in between features can feel a little static. It’s not as polished as some of Rarestone’s flagship slots, but there’s decent power in these wires.
