Mini Games
Age of the Gods: Hercules Rules starts with two short reels and three taller columns. Scatters on reels 3 and 4 turn Playtech’s uneven design into a changing grid, raising the final three reels and moving play from 40 to 60 paylines. That shift reshapes the fixed structure familiar from many slot games, and the larger grid stays active throughout Bonus Spins.
The reel area has two short columns on the left and three taller ones inside a carved stone frame. Temple pillars and an open view across an ancient city place the action in Greece. Hercules carries a sword on the top-value symbol, followed by Hera, Pegasus, the lion and a red potion. Colour also separates the feature symbols: the regular Shield is red, its Bonus Spins version is gold, and bronze, silver or gold Scatter coins sit in the corners of ordinary symbols without covering the artwork underneath.
| Symbol | 3x | 4x | 5x |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hercules | 12x | 40x | 100x |
| Hera | 12x | 28x | 80x |
| Pegasus | 8x | 28x | 80x |
| Lion | 8x | 20x | 60x |
| Potion | 8x | 20x | 60x |
| Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten | 4x | 8x | 40x |
Payouts use the line bet. The Shield replaces any regular symbol except the Scatter, while Bronze, Silver and Gold Scatters pay 2x, 3x and 5x the total stake.
Bronze, Silver and Gold Scatter coins sit on top of ordinary symbols on reels 3, 4 and 5. The expansion depends on reels 3 and 4 showing one during the same spin, while a coin on reel 5 has no bearing on that change. Once the condition is met, the final three columns gain one position and the payline count rises from 40 to 60.
Matching colour matters as much as quantity. Three Bronze coins open 3 Bonus Spins, three Silver award 6, and three Gold provide 9. The feature begins on the larger 60-payline layout, where Scatters leave the reels and Gold Shields take over the job of extending play.
The Gold Shield only appears during Bonus Spins and can replace regular pay symbols. Filling all four positions across reels 1 and 2 awards 3 extra spins. Players get the same 3 spin extension if Gold Shields cover every position on reel 3, 4 or 5.
The progressive jackpot can start at random after a base game spin. The bonus shows a set of coins that players reveal one by one until three matching jackpot symbols appear. The matching set awards one of four levels, Power, Extra Power, Super Power or Ultimate Power.
The game uses five reels in a 2-2-4-4-4 layout with 40 fixed paylines. Wins start on reel 1 and continue across matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. The two shorter opening reels make the grid easy to recognise among casino games with fixed lines. A regular Shield can also complete line wins by replacing any standard symbol except the Scatter. Scatters on reels 3 and 4 add one position to each of the final three reels, taking play to 60 paylines. That expanded 60-line setup then stays active for every Bonus Spin.
The coloured coins do most of the work in Hercules Rules. Before any Bonus Spins start, they can stretch the last three reels and bring 60 lines into play. Their colour also sets the opening award at 3, 6 or 9 spins, then Gold Shields become the route to extra rounds. We like that Playtech keeps those ideas connected, so the feature set stays focused on the changing grid and Shield behaviour. Our view is that the slot suits players who prefer fixed paylines with visible changes at key points. We also carry several other titles from the Age of the Gods series.
