Play Slingo Starburst

This title makes the most out of the glowing jewels of NetEnt’s well-known slot and turns them into a good Gaming Realms’ number-matching format. Released under the Slingo Originals brand, the game combines a 5x5 numbered card-grid with five reel positions and ten opening spins. Completing Slingos moves the player along a prize ladder, where the available rewards include guaranteed Win Spins based on different Starburst symbols. Wilds, additional spins and instant Purple Gem prizes also appear during the round. 

Slingo Starburst closely follows the appearance of the original slot, using a dark-purple space background covered by glowing lights and colourful gems. The numbered card occupies the centre of the screen, while five reel positions sit beneath it. A ladder on the left records the number of completed Slingos and shows the Win Spin associated with each level. Matched numbers change into bright gold stars, and every completed line is accompanied by a large Slingo graphic. Rainbow columns illuminate the bingo card-like grid when Wilds are used, and the separate Win Spin round recreates Starburst’s five-reel slot layout. There is plenty of flashing light involved, although the strong colour-coding makes matches and completed lines fairly straightforward to follow.

The multicoloured Starburst symbol is Wild and substitutes for the regular slot symbols. It can appear on the three middle reels, expand to cover its entire reel and remain in place while the other reels respin. 

Wild Symbols 

A regular Wild allows the player to select one unmarked number from the column above its reel position. The Starburst Wild provides the same number selection, while also remaining on the reel as the other four positions respin. The green Super Wild has no column restriction and can mark any available number on the card. Blocker symbols do not mark a number or provide another effect. 

Additional Spins and Purple Gems 

Landing the Bonus Spin symbol adds another turn to the Slingo round. Purple Gems operate separately from the numbered symbols and provide an instant prize when at least three appear anywhere along the reel row. Their reward increases according to whether three, four or five gems land together. Once the allotted spins have been used, an Extra Spin Wheel may grant another turn or end the round. Each successful wheel result reduces the size of its winning segment, and no more than five additional spins can be received this way. 

Slingo Ladder and Win Spins 

A Slingo is completed by marking all five numbers in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. Reaching the third Slingo unlocks a guaranteed Blue Gem Win Spin. The subsequent ladder levels use the Red Gem, Green Gem, Yellow Gem, Red 7 and BAR symbols. Nine and ten Slingos return to the Red 7 and BAR for their upper ladder rewards. Each Win Spin opens a separate 5x3 Starburst slot screen with ten paylines and guarantees a winning combination involving the symbol displayed on the ladder. 

Full House Win Spin 

Covering all 25 numbers awards the Full House prize. This begins a guaranteed Win Spin featuring the multicoloured Starburst Wild. The Wild can fill an entire middle reel and trigger the familiar Starburst respin, remaining in position while the other reels spin again. A Full House is recorded as 12 Slingos because the final marked number necessarily completes more than one of the available lines. The resulting prize is determined by the winning combinations formed during the special slots’ spin rather than being a fixed Full House payment. 

The numbered bingo-like card contains values from 1 to 75, separated into five columns. Each spin produces five numbers, with every result corresponding to the column directly above it. A matching number is covered by a gold star. There are 12 possible Slingos across the card: five horizontal lines, five vertical lines and two diagonals. Regular Wilds and Starburst Wilds can only mark a number in their own column, whereas the Super Wild permits a choice from anywhere on the card.
