Indian Premier League Betting Odds

The Indian Premier League is a cricket league in a T20 format that takes place annually in India and has done since 2008. Each year, ten city-based franchises take part in the IPL, and the competition is contested across India's summer months between March and May, with the final typically held in late May or early June.

The reigning champions are Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who won the 2026 IPL final by 5 wickets over Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It was RCB's second consecutive title, making them only the third franchise in IPL history (after Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians) to successfully defend the IPL crown. The 2026 win came after RCB's emotional maiden title in 2025, when they finally ended an 18-year wait by beating Punjab Kings by 6 runs in the final. Virat Kohli, who scored an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls in the 2026 final to claim Player of the Match honours, has been central to RCB's recent dominance.

CSK and MI are the joint-most successful teams in IPL history with five titles each. Other multiple winners include Kolkata Knight Riders (three) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (two).

What Are The Popular IPL Betting Markets?

In the realm of cricket, and sports in general, the Indian Premier League (IPL) stands as one of the most popular sporting competitions. Therefore, BetVictor offers a huge variety of popular betting markets.

IPL Winner Outright

The most popular betting market where the IPL is concerned is, of course, the one dealing with who punters believe will be the overall winner. In this scenario, you're placing a bet on the eventual title holders.

IPL Match Winner Betting

If you place a bet in the outright markets, you're essentially going to then have to wait for the conclusion of the whole competition for it to come to fruition. Also, injuries and poor form can happen. With match betting, punters are placing wagers on matches as they come around, and they can take all the important factors into account before placing a bet.

IPL Top Batsman Betting

Everyone will be looking to see which batsmen do the business in the IPL. And there's often a whole raft of candidates. Because of the interest, it's also possible to bet on who will be the top IPL batsman, and this can be in match betting as well as outright markets too. So, it's a versatile market to explore, especially with the potential for a batsman to catch fire during the tournament.
