He was awarded the PFA Players’ Player of the Year. Numerous Leicester players were named in the Team of the Year. It is almost a definite that we’ll never see another season like it.

Leicester City have proven that they have what it takes to win the English Championship, hoisting the trophy in 2023/24 before spending a season in the Premier League. It's also worth mentioning that the team holds a record for the most number of promotions, currently sitting at 13, which shows they have the talent and consistency to finish in the top Championship positions.

Not only can Leicester City win the Championship, they've also won the Premier League in 2015/16, after an incredible run in which they started as 5,000/1 underdogs. Few even gave them a chance of finishing in the top half of the table, however, their heroic season saw Claudio Ranieri's side produce some of the best football the league had ever seen, with the Italian deservedly being named manager of the season. Most of the firepower during this run can be attributed to Jamie Vardy, who registered an incredible 24 goals, alongside Riyad Mahrez, who was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

While many expected Leicester City to be amongst the favourites to win the 2025/26 Championship, they currently sit behind five other teams, according to the latest football betting odds. This is likely due to their squad being significantly lighter than it was in 2023/24, with the quality of the other teams in the Championship also increasing since the Foxes last won the title.
