Wembley has become a place where Hull supporters expect a story to tell. Oli McBurnie supplied the latest in May 2026, scoring the goal that brought Premier League football back to the city. BetVictor’s football betting odds cover what comes next, from Hull’s home fixtures to away games against the division’s established clubs. Promotion answered one question. Now the Tigers have a full season to show how well their squad can cope at the higher level.
Sergej Jakirović remains head coach, having joined in June 2025. His first campaign ended with a 1–0 play-off final victory over Middlesbrough and Hull’s return to the top flight after nine years away.
Boro’s season continued in the Championship. Our Middlesbrough betting page follows their fixtures and available markets, while this page focuses on Hull’s next challenge.
Start with the outcome you want to back. A Hull win, a draw and an opposition win are the three choices in standard match-result betting, sometimes labelled 1X2.
These selections normally settle on 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded unless the market states otherwise.
McBurnie’s late Wembley goal is a useful reminder that stoppage time counts. The clock passing 90 does not close a normal-time result market’s settlement period; play continues until the referee ends that half.
Perhaps you expect Hull to make life difficult for a stronger opponent but cannot separate a narrow win from a draw. Hull or draw, where offered as double chance, covers both outcomes. An opposition victory loses the bet.
Draw no bet gives a different choice. A Hull win wins your selection, a draw normally returns the stake and a defeat loses it.
Compare the conditions before comparing the potential returns. Double chance pays a winning return on either of its covered results; draw no bet treats a draw as a refund.
Correct score needs an exact result. Hull to win 2–0 is a different prediction from Hull to win by any score, and a late consolation goal would change its outcome.
Half-time/full-time asks you to get both stages right. A Hull/Hull selection requires the Tigers to lead at the interval and win at full time. Coming from behind to win would not be enough.
Check the period named on a correct-score market too. A first-half selection has a different finishing point from one covering the full match.
Goals markets let you consider how a game might develop without settling on a winner. Recent scores help, although the next opponent’s approach deserves just as much attention.
BTTS “Yes” requires a goal from both sides. A Hull win to nil loses that selection, however convincing the performance.
Think about what happens when Hull lose possession. Do opponents reach the penalty area quickly, or does the midfield give the defence time to recover? At the other end, consider whether Hull are creating chances from open play or relying heavily on set pieces.
A clean sheet can come from excellent defending, good goalkeeping or wasteful finishing by the opposition. The final score alone cannot tell you which explanation fits.
Over 2.5 goals needs three or more goals between the teams. Under 2.5 needs two or fewer. A 2–1 Hull victory therefore wins an over selection, while a 1–0 win meets the under condition.
Whole-goal Asian lines work differently: the stake can be returned when the total matches the line exactly. Quarter-goal lines divide the stake between two neighbouring lines.
Read the complete selection. “Hull team goals” concerns the Tigers’ goals only, whereas a match total includes both clubs.
A handicap changes the score used to settle the bet. Back Hull plus 1.5 and they can win, draw or lose by one goal for the selection to succeed. Hull minus 1.5 requires a win by at least two.
Three-way handicaps include an adjusted draw as a separate outcome. Asian handicaps have two sides, with refunds or split settlements possible on certain lines. Check which type you have selected before entering the stake.
Player markets may include first, anytime or last goalscorer on selected fixtures. Before choosing a name, check the starting line-up and the role that player is expected to fill.
McBurnie’s promotion-winning finish is part of Hull history. A bet on his next appearance still needs a fresh assessment of playing time, fitness and the service reaching him.
The same applies to any forward. A player who looks dangerous on the counter may have fewer opportunities against a side that defends deep. Penalty duties can matter too, but they should be checked rather than assumed.
Cards and corners markets may concern one team, an individual player or the whole match. Read the counting rules and period covered. For player selections, participation conditions can also affect settlement.
An outright concerns a longer competition outcome. Depending on the current listings, Hull markets may cover the league title, finishing positions or relegation.
Our dedicated Hull City odds to win the Premier League page covers the title race. A win-only selection there needs Hull to finish first. Securing another season in the division would be a different achievement with a different market.
The league programme contains 38 matches per club, and the bottom three are relegated. A result against a leading side can lift confidence, but points still have to be collected across the rest of the schedule.
Check the exact wording on finishing-position selections. Finishing bottom and finishing in the bottom three are different outcomes.
Each-way, when available, combines a win bet with a place bet. The stake is the same on each part, so the full wager costs twice the amount entered for one part.
The market terms specify how many places are paid and what fraction of the odds applies to the place return. Do not assume those terms match another competition.
A placed selection can return money while still leaving you down overall. The price and place terms determine whether that return covers both stakes.
An outright can also keep the stake committed for months. Decide whether that suits you before confirming, without relying on a later Cash Out offer.
Hull’s 2014 FA Cup final against Arsenal showed how much can change within one afternoon. The Tigers led 2–0, the game reached 90 minutes at 2–2, and Arsenal won 3–2 after extra time.
For betting purposes, the normal-time draw and Arsenal lifting the trophy were separate outcomes. That distinction applies whenever a cup game can continue beyond 90 minutes.
Explore the available FA Cup betting markets for current ties and competition selections. Hull may also have League Cup fixtures to follow, with the listed markets depending on the round and opponent.
Team selection is particularly relevant. A league line-up does not guarantee the same goalkeeper, defence or attack will start a midweek cup match. Wait for the confirmed side if your prediction depends on particular players.
Bet Builder allows compatible selections from one fixture to be combined. Where available, you might put a Hull result together with a goals selection.
The Football Bet Builder shows eligible matches and the combinations supported. The choices available separately on a match page will not necessarily all combine.
Look at the complete bet before placing it. If Hull win but another required selection loses, getting the match winner right does not rescue the wager. Every required condition matters.
The first few minutes can reveal a different game from the one you expected. Hull might be getting pressed high, finding room behind an attacking full-back or struggling to keep the ball after clearances.
Selected fixtures may appear in live football betting once play begins. Markets and prices can change throughout the match, with temporary suspensions around goals, penalties and other incidents.
Broadcasts and score feeds can be delayed. Check the displayed match details and price before confirming a live bet.
Cash Out may be offered on eligible selections. Its availability and value can change, and the amount offered may be below the original stake. Accepting a full Cash Out settles the bet early at the accepted amount; it does not provide guaranteed protection against losing money.
Our Hull City stats, results and fixtures page is a starting point for following the Tigers throughout the campaign.
Separate home performances from away ones. A side comfortable defending a lead at the MKM Stadium may face a very different task when an opponent controls possession for long spells on its own ground.
New arrivals need a closer look than a transfer announcement provides. Check how often they are starting, who plays alongside them and whether their position matches the one they occupied at their previous club.
Hull’s meetings with Ipswich bring together two clubs with proud traditions outside the established top-flight order; the Ipswich Town betting page follows the Tractor Boys.
Coventry also moved up in 2026. Our Coventry City betting page follows another promoted side, giving you a separate view of their fixtures and available selections.
Founded in 1904, Hull joined the Football League in 1905. The black-and-amber shirts and Tigers nickname have remained familiar through very different periods in the club’s fortunes.
The move from Boothferry Park to the stadium now known as the MKM came in December 2002. Six years later, Dean Windass scored the only goal against Bristol City at Wembley to secure Hull’s first promotion to the top flight.
That final remains a defining fixture for both clubs. Our Bristol City betting page covers the Robins’ current matches and season markets.
Another Wembley winner followed in 2016, when Mohamed Diamé’s goal beat Sheffield Wednesday. Hull later won League One under Grant McCann in 2021, before Jakirović’s side earned the latest Premier League return in 2026.
Those moments explain the attachment supporters have to the club. They do not determine the next result. Today’s squad, opposition and available price need their own assessment.
Set your limit before browsing the selections. There is no requirement to bet on every Hull match, even if you follow the team closely.
