Big Bounty Bandits: 3 Pots is a Western slot, although there is very little grit beneath its cowboy hat. Peter & Sons has gone for runaway horses, exaggerated outlaws and enough airborne gold to bankrupt a small frontier town in this title. The game is played across 20 paylines and centres on Coin collections, Bandit symbols and three distinct Free Spins modes. It looks uncomplicated at first, but several features can overlap once the Diamonds begin appearing.
The American frontier has been presented here as a lively cartoon rather than a dusty historical setting. Monument Valley-style rock formations stretch across the background, while the main grid has been fitted into a rough wooden frame. A water tower, jackpot notices, barrels and cowboy gear complete the scene. Peter & Sons has given the characters plenty of personality. The bandits carry loaded revolvers, ride small and feisty horses, and regularly race above the reels when a feature is active. Their movements are deliberately theatrical, almost reminiscent of old-school Looney Tunes cartoons. Guns fire, ropes swing and Coins fly towards the relevant collector rather than simply disappearing from the grid. Three covered wagons stand above the reels, each associated with a coloured Diamond and its corresponding Free Spins mode. On the whole, the unusual hand-drawn style gives the game a recognisable appearance among the many Western-themed slot games already available.

The Bounty Feature occurs when a Bandit and Horseshoe land together. Up to ten Coin symbols may appear, carrying individual values between 0.3x and 10,000x the stake. Their values are then collected immediately.
A regular Bandit landing alongside the Golden Bandit activates the Big Bounty Feature. Rather than collecting existing Coins in the usual manner, the game generates between five and ten random prize values and combines them into one reward. The Grand, Major, Minor and Mini prizes may also be awarded through the Bounty and Big Bounty features.
Coin bags can appear across the first four reels, but they require an appropriate collector on reel five. A Horseshoe gathers every visible Coin value. The Golden Bandit performs a Special Collect, taking the Coins and multiplying their combined value by 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.
A red Diamond is linked to Collector Free Spins. The round provides ten spins and guarantees either a Horseshoe or Golden Bandit collector on every one.
The green Diamond corresponds to Golden Bandit Free Spins. During this mode, Golden Bandit symbols appear with attached multipliers of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.
The blue Diamond opens Multiplier Free Spins. Multipliers of 2x, 3x and 5x may land on the first four reels and increase collections made through reel five. When more than one multiplier appears, their values are multiplied together rather than added.
When all three Diamond symbols land together, each one has an opportunity to activate its respective feature. Should all three modes become active, ten Super Free Spins are awarded with guaranteed collectors, Golden Bandit multipliers and grid multipliers working in the same round.
The game uses five reels, four rows and 20 fixed paylines. Wins run from the leftmost reel towards the right across adjacent reels, with only the largest win on each line being paid. Three matching symbols are generally required. The golden crossed revolvers act as the Wild and replace ordinary paying symbols. They do not substitute for Diamonds, Coin bags, Bandits or Collect symbols. Diamonds appear only on reels two, three and four, corresponding with the red, green and blue wagons positioned above the grid. A notable part of the design is how frequently the mechanics cross paths. A standard line win may sit beside several Coin bags, only for a Horseshoe or Golden Bandit to arrive on the final reel and change the result.
Big Bounty Bandits: 3 Pots has a rather busy collection system, yet Peter & Sons has arranged it sensibly. The three wagons explain which Diamond controls each bonus, while the Horseshoe and Golden Bandit have clearly separate functions. It does take some time to understand how the simultaneous Diamond combinations behave, particularly when two or three features meet. The artwork is likely to divide opinion more than the mechanics. Those expecting a serious Western may find the galloping caricatures rather silly, but that appears to be entirely intentional. We found the animated bandits more memorable than another set of stern cowboys standing beside a saloon. The base game can still produce uneventful stretches when Coin bags appear without a collector. Nevertheless, the different Free Spins modes provide enough variation for players who favour collection features and layered bonus rounds in their casino games.
