Eagle Cash Collect & Link slot is another North American wilderness themed game by Playtech Origins. The base game plays out on a simple 5x3 grid and features include wild symbols, free spins, cash collect mechanics, two hold and win rounds, and fixed jackpots. There are some genres of online slots where you can be pretty sure of what you’re getting visually before you even open the game. And North American wilderness themed slots games, including this one, Eagle: Cash Collect & Link, definitely fall into that category. 

There’s the standard 5x3 grid, with a vaguely Native American look, sitting in the middle of nowhere, although a very majestic nowhere, we have to admit. The only thing that’s a little different in this game is the background, which is very detailed and subtle to the point where it looks like a painting, while the symbols are almost cartoon like in their simplicity. Usually it’s the other way around. The background music is heavy on steel guitars and atmosphere.  

Special symbols:  

• Coins: These come with cash values or jackpots and land in both the base game and bonus rounds 
• Cash Collect: The Link symbol lands on reels 1 and 5 in the base game and will, you guessed it,  collect all cash values in view. 
• Link and Mega Link: When these hit together with the Cash Collect symbol, they trigger their respective rounds. 

Cash Collect 

During the base game, the Collect symbol can land on reels 1 and 5 to scoop up all cash values and/or trigger one of the bonus rounds, depending on what’s on the reels at the time. 

Link Feature 

A standard Hold and Win round, starts with 3 respins, each new coin landing restes the counter, and filling the grid awards the Grand Prize 

Mega Link Feature 

The same as above except multipliers are added to random positions and applied to any coin values that land in them. 

Jackpots 

If a jackpot coin lands with a Cash Collect symbol, one of the four fixed jackpots is awarded at random. 

Free Spins 

When Free Spins symbols land with Cash Collect ones, this round triggers. During the spins, Cash Collect symbols can stick to the reels for a max of 10 spins. 

Nudge Feature 

During the base game, the Cash Collect symbol may be nudged onto the reels after a non-winning spin. 

As we’ve mentioned, the grid is a simple 5x3 affair, and doesn’t change size for the link features. This is crossed by 30 fixed paylines, and symbols have to land on adjacent reels across a payline, with the combo starting on reel one, to form a win

All in all, pretty much what one expects from Playtech Origins these days. Nothing new, but some popular mechanics and high quality visuals blended together to provide a satisfying, if slightly predictable, experience.  

The multipliers in the Mega Link round and sticky Cash Collect symbols in the Free Spins add a bit of a twist, but, overall, this is definitely a game for players who know what they want rather than those looking for a new experience.
