Dice City Game Review

Dice City by Pragmatic Play brings a bold twist to the world of live casino games. Played on a large 6x6 grid with a live host running the show, this game combines classic dice mechanics with show-style fun and three unique bonus games. With prize ladders, multipliers, and a fun choose-your-die setup, it’s made to stand out from the rest.

Theme & Graphic

Dice City blends vibrant digital animation with real-time action in a sleek studio setting. The main 6x6 grid is bright and colourful, with different bet zones clearly marked out. Players can follow the action easily thanks to clear overlays, animated dice visuals, and dynamic bonus triggers that light up the board.

The bonus games each come with their own board and theme, from neon ladders in Lucky Drop to the head-to-head format of Dice Battle. Smooth transitions between stages keep the pace lively, while the upbeat host keeps players engaged throughout.

Payout Table

Dice City features six core bet zones. These are divided into standard number-based spots and bonus trigger fields. Here's a breakdown:

  • Standard Fields: Bet spots marked 1x, 2x, and 5x offer simple fixed payouts in those amounts. If the dice roll lands on one of these, players with bets on the field receive that multiplier.
  • Bonus Fields: There are also three bonus bet zones, each tied to a different game: Dice Battle, Lucky Drop, or Boom or Bust. Landing on one of these and having a wager there activates the bonus.
  • Boosters: Random multipliers up to 10x can appear during base gameplay. These attach to a bet field and enhance potential payouts for that round.

Bonus Features

Dice Battle

This is a simple yet punchy head-to-head game. Players pick between two dice before they’re rolled. The die with the highest number wins and pays a higher prize up to 1000x. If you pick the lower die, you’ll still get a mystery payout, though it’s smaller.

Lucky Drop

This bonus plays out on a vertical prize ladder made up of five levels. Players choose one of six possible dice outcomes. If their choice hits during the round, they climb the ladder. Each new level comes with better multipliers, up to a maximum of 5000x. Miss too many times, and it’s game over.

Boom or Bust

This is the most layered bonus of the three. It takes place on a 6x7 grid filled with multipliers and level-up spots. Players pick red or blue and then roll. Depending on the result, they move across the grid. The aim is to collect boosts, hit higher multipliers, and stay in the game for as long as possible. The potential payout? Up to 10,000x.

Game Mechanics

The game is played on a 6x6 digital grid, with each square representing a different betting option. Players begin by placing bets on any of the six active betting zones, which include three number-based spots and three bonus game triggers. Once the betting time ends, two physical dice are rolled live, and the total sum of the dice determines the winning square. If a player's wager covers that square, they receive a payout based on the odds for that position. Adding an extra layer of tension, certain squares can be enhanced with random booster multipliers before the roll, increasing the potential payout.

Similar Games

  • Monopoly Live (Evolution Gaming): Brings the classic board game to life with a money wheel, 3D bonus rounds, and real cash prizes. One of the most recognisable game show-style titles around.
  • Dream Catcher (Evolution Gaming): The original money wheel game that laid the groundwork for many modern live casino hits. Simple to play, with big multipliers and plenty of visual flair.
  • Crazy Balls (Evolution Gaming): Bingo meets board game with numbered ball draws, multiplier-filled bonus rounds, and bright, fast-paced action.

BetVictor’s Opinion

Dice City is a great example of Pragmatic Play’s creative take on the live casino genre. The mix of simple dice rolls with layered bonuses gives the game a nice rhythm. The bonus features, particularly Boom or Bust, bring serious energy to the table and offer a break from more static formats.

It’s well-suited to players who like game shows but want a bit more interaction. The colourful visuals, fast transitions, and potential for big multipliers all work in its favour. While the gameplay is less complex than something like Crazy Time, the bonus variety keeps things fresh. For anyone who enjoys dynamic, host-led titles, Dice City is worth a roll.
