Mega Baccarat is Pragmatic Play’s take on the classic card table, keeping standard baccarat rules but adding a pre-hand multiplier system that can boost potential payouts. It’s still the same core game where Player, Banker, and Tie are the main options, but each round now starts with a short “Mega” phase where multipliers may be assigned to bets before the cards are dealt.

Mega Round 

Before any cards are dealt, a set of multipliers is randomly placed on different betting positions. These can vary in size and don’t appear on every spot. 

Dice Check 

Two dice are rolled after the multipliers hit, and if the total comes out as 8 or 9, the multipliers are set to go for that round. If not, players are looking at just a normal hand of baccarat. 

Multiplier Wins 

If a bet has a multiplier attached and it wins, the payout is boosted accordingly. If not, it just pays the standard baccarat return. 

Pair Bets 

Player Pair and Banker Pair sit on the side as optional bets. They pay if the first two cards dealt form any kind of pair, regardless of suit. 

Mega Baccarat uses eight decks and follows standard baccarat rules. Players bet on Player, Banker, or Tie, with optional Pair side bets available. 

Card values follow the usual baccarat system: tens and face cards count as zero, aces are one, and only the last digit of any two-card total matters. 

After betting closes, the Mega Round happens first. Multipliers are assigned, then dice are rolled to see if they stay active. After that, the dealer deals the cards and the round plays out normally. 

The rest of the game follows standard baccarat drawing rules, so there’s nothing unfamiliar once the cards are in play.

Mega Baccarat doesn’t really change what baccarat is, it just adds a short pre-round step where multipliers might come into play.
