Here at BetVictor News, we’ll be following the latest Wrexham stats throughout 2026/27 as Phil Parkinson’s side try to turn an excellent first Championship campaign into another step towards the Premier League.
For the first time in four seasons, Wrexham reached May without a promotion to celebrate. There wasn’t much disappointment in the numbers, though. The Red Dragons finished seventh with 71 points, only two behind Hull City in the final play-off position, after winning 19 of their 46 league matches.
It was also the highest league finish in the club’s history, which puts their recent climb into perspective. Wrexham scored 69 goals and conceded 65, so they were rarely far away from the action at either end of the pitch. After arriving from League One, they looked far more like play-off contenders than a side simply trying to survive.
Josh Windass played a major part in that. He scored 16 Championship goals, the best second-tier league return by a Wrexham player, and was subsequently named the club’s Player of the Season.
The challenge now is different. Wrexham no longer have the momentum of another promotion carrying them into a new division, and seventh place has created a much higher benchmark. Turning last season’s narrow play-off miss into a sustained top-six push would represent another significant step.
Results at the STōK Cae Ras, goals conceded and the gap to the play-off places should therefore be useful numbers to follow. The wider football stats hub covers clubs across England, while Championship betting follows the division throughout 2026/27. Both destinations are currently live on BetVictor.
