Ben Whittaker’s unanimous-decision win over Conor Wallace is the latest major result added to our boxing results 2026 tracker, with the British light-heavyweight surviving a horrible final few rounds to take another significant step towards a world-title shot.
There has been plenty happening elsewhere too. Ryan Garcia demolished Conor Benn in Las Vegas, Katie Taylor closed her career with one final victory at Croke Park, Chantelle Cameron beat Mikaela Mayer and Filip Hrgovic handed Moses Itauma the first defeat of his professional career.
This page tracks the biggest boxing results from the UK and around the world, with scorecards and methods of victory where they matter.

Latest Boxing Results: Whittaker Beats Wallace
Ben Whittaker beat Conor Wallace by unanimous decision on Saturday 3 October at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena.
For nine rounds, it looked relatively comfortable.
Whittaker controlled the distance, found Wallace regularly with the quicker shots and built the sort of lead that made the result seem fairly obvious heading into the closing stages.
Then everything became considerably less comfortable.
Wallace hurt Whittaker in the tenth before putting him under serious pressure again in the final round. Whittaker stumbled to the canvas several times during a frantic finish, although referee Howard Foster ruled that none of them were knockdowns.
The scorecards eventually read:
- 117-111 Whittaker
- 116-112 Whittaker
- 115-113 Whittaker
That gave Whittaker the unanimous decision and secured his position as mandatory challenger for the IBF light-heavyweight title.
It was a win, but probably not the completely convincing world-level statement Whittaker wanted.
Wallace showed that there are still questions to answer when Whittaker is hurt and forced away from the controlled rhythm he prefers. Equally, surviving those moments and still getting through 12 rounds against the best opponent of his career is useful experience.
Our Ben Whittaker vs Conor Wallace guide has the full background to the fight.
Bilal Fawaz also retained his British and Commonwealth super-welterweight titles on the Birmingham card, stopping Eithan James in the eighth round.
Boxing Results: September 2026
September was particularly busy for British boxing.
Four weekends produced retirement nights, world-title fights, heavyweight battles and several results that changed the direction of individual careers.
Liam Davies Stops Nathaniel Collins
Liam Davies stopped Nathaniel Collins after seven rounds in Birmingham on 26 September.
Davies retained his European and WBO Intercontinental featherweight titles and moved to 19-1, while Collins suffered the second defeat of his professional career. Queensberry records the result as a seventh-round retirement.
It continued a strong run for Davies since moving up from super-bantamweight.
He has looked more comfortable at featherweight, and beating Collins gave him another useful result against a fighter who had previously operated around British and European level.
Johnny Fisher Beats Michael Pirotton
Johnny Fisher also came through a much tougher night than many expected on 26 September.
The British heavyweight beat Michael Pirotton by majority decision after ten rounds at the Copper Box Arena.
Fisher started well but faded as the fight developed, allowing Pirotton to drag him into a much more competitive contest. He still did enough to get the result, but it was another reminder that Fisher remains a work in progress rather than a finished heavyweight contender.
On the same card, Radivoje Kalajdzic handed Craig Richards a home defeat by unanimous decision after dropping him heavily late in their fight.
Pat Brown Stops John Hedges
Pat Brown continued his rapid rise by stopping John Hedges in the sixth round to win the vacant British and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles.
Brown had to be patient against the 6ft 6in southpaw before gradually getting closer and targeting the body.
The finish came when a left hook downstairs dropped Hedges. Another body shot shortly afterwards put him down again and ended the contest.
Brown moved to 7-0 with seven stoppages, winning the Lonsdale Belt only seven fights into his professional career.
That is a very quick progression for someone who only recently left the amateur system.
Ryan Garcia Stops Conor Benn
One of the biggest British-interest results of September came in Las Vegas.
Ryan Garcia stopped Conor Benn in the second round of their WBC welterweight title fight on 12 September.
Benn had spent years talking about becoming a world champion. When his opportunity finally came, Garcia barely gave him time to settle.
A right hand dropped Benn 45 seconds into round two. He beat the count, but Garcia immediately went after him and forced referee Thomas Taylor to stop the fight at 1:25.
It was Benn’s first professional stoppage defeat and left some serious questions about his future at 147lb.
He had dropped back to welterweight specifically for the title opportunity after spending recent fights competing at heavier limits. The weight cut had already been a major talking point before the fight.
The result made it impossible to ignore afterwards.
Our Conor Benn next fight page looks at whether he should remain at welterweight, move back up or revisit the Chris Eubank Jr rivalry.
Katie Taylor Beats Flora Pili and Retires
Katie Taylor got the ending she wanted.
Taylor beat Flora Pili by unanimous decision at Croke Park on 5 September, finishing her professional career in front of a huge home crowd in Dublin.
The scorecards were decisive:
- 100-90
- 100-90
- 98-91
Victory gave Taylor the vacant WBC super-lightweight title alongside her other belts, allowing her to finish her career as undisputed champion at 140lb.
There was no need for one final dramatic war. Taylor simply outboxed Pili for ten rounds and walked away on her own terms.
She retired with a professional record of 26-1, with the only defeat of her career coming against Chantelle Cameron before Taylor won their rematch.
Our full Katie Taylor record looks back at her titles, biggest victories and that sole defeat.
Boxing Results: August 2026
August ended with two huge fights on the same night, and both produced results worth remembering.
Chantelle Cameron Beats Mikaela Mayer
Chantelle Cameron beat Mikaela Mayer by unanimous decision in Birmingham to become unified WBA, WBC and WBO super-welterweight champion.
The fight was as competitive as expected.
Neither woman was particularly interested in giving the other room to work, and the pace stayed high throughout ten rounds.
Cameron eventually took the scorecards:
- 97-93
- 97-93
- 96-94
That gave her another major name on a record which already includes a victory over Katie Taylor.
A rematch has already been discussed, with Cameron pushing for women’s championship bouts to use three-minute rounds if they meet again.
Our original Mikaela Mayer vs Chantelle Cameron guide has the background to the rivalry.
Filip Hrgovic Stops Moses Itauma
This was probably one of the biggest shocks involving a British boxer in 2026.
Moses Itauma entered his fight with Filip Hrgovic unbeaten and with enormous expectations around how quickly he could reach the top of the heavyweight division.
For six rounds, those expectations looked reasonable.
Itauma was quicker, sharper and landed the cleaner work.
Then the fight changed.
Itauma began visibly tiring once he went beyond six rounds for the first time in his professional career. Hrgovic stayed patient, kept applying pressure and eventually stopped him in the ninth round to win the vacant IBF heavyweight title.
It was Itauma’s first professional defeat.
At 21, there is obviously plenty of time to rebuild, but the result exposed questions that short knockout wins could never answer.
Our article on what happened to Moses Itauma breaks the defeat down in more detail.
Biggest Boxing Results Earlier in 2026
There have already been several other major results this year.
Daniel Dubois Stops Fabio Wardley
Daniel Dubois became WBO heavyweight champion by stopping Fabio Wardley in the 11th round in May. It was anything but easy.
Wardley dropped Dubois twice during the opening three rounds, including once inside the first ten seconds, before Dubois recovered and gradually took control.
That fight now gets an immediate sequel.
Dubois and Wardley meet again at The O2 on 17 October, with the WBO title back on the line.
Our Dubois vs Wardley 2 preview has the latest fight details and our prediction.
Oleksandr Usyk Stops Rico Verhoeven
Oleksandr Usyk survived one of the strangest tests of his championship career against kickboxing great Rico Verhoeven in May.
Verhoeven performed considerably better than many expected and was still competitive deep into the fight.
Usyk finally found the breakthrough late in round 11, dropping Verhoeven before forcing a stoppage with one second remaining in the round.
Not many people expected a boxer with Verhoeven’s level of professional boxing experience to push Usyk anywhere near that far.
Tyson Fury Beats Mariusz Wach
Tyson Fury returned in July with a seventh-round stoppage of veteran heavyweight Mariusz Wach in Thailand.
Fury controlled the fight before Wach’s corner brought the contest to an end ahead of the eighth round.
The result mattered less than what came afterwards.
Fury is now officially booked to face Anthony Joshua on 11 December in Cardiff, finally giving British boxing the fight it has spent years waiting for.
How Are Boxing Results Decided?
A boxing result can come in several different forms.
A KO occurs when a fighter is knocked down and cannot beat the referee’s ten-count.
A TKO is slightly broader. The referee, doctor or corner may stop a fight because one boxer is taking too much punishment or is no longer able to defend themselves properly.
If the scheduled rounds are completed, the fight goes to the judges. A unanimous decision means all three judges scored the fight for the same boxer.
A split decision means two judges picked one fighter and the third picked the other. A majority decision occurs when two judges score it for one fighter while the third has the contest level.
Draws and no contests are less common, but both can happen.
The exact scoring system and the role of the judges are covered in more detail in our guide to how boxing scoring works.
