Allsvenskan Betting

Despite it not being one of Europe's most high-profile football leagues, here at BetVictor we'll still bring you a wide-ranging selection of Swedish Allsvenskan odds.

Those looking to bet on Swedish Allsvenskan fixtures will find a wide range of markets throughout the 30-match campaign. Indeed, here at BetVictor we offer odds on Swedish Allsvenskan betting markets for every single match, including the end of season play-offs. Added to that, you will find a choice of season outrights alongside weekly betting. So, if you have a hunch about who might lift the title, we’ve got you covered.

However, with us your Swedish betting opportunities aren’t limited to the top-flight. We also offer markets and odds on the country’s second tier – the Superettan.

As a sign of things to come, the Superettan's debut season saw the once mighty Malmo FF seal a return to the top-flight, thanks in large part to the 12 goals scored by a young striker by the name of Zlatan Ibrahimović. Both Malmo and Ibrahimović have never looked back since, proving that there is certainly talent, and value, to be found in the second tier of Swedish Football Betting.

Swedish Allsvenskan In-Play Betting Markets

As if pre-match and outright Swedish Allsvenskan betting wasn’t enough, here at BetVictor we also offer plenty of In-Play opportunities.

With us, you’ll be able to bet on a wide variety of Swedish Allsvenskan betting markets In-Play, meaning you can back your selections as the action unfolds. Our In-Play markets include the likes of Match Betting, Correct Score, Both Teams To Score, Double Chance, Corners and Handicaps, as well as many more. Added to that, you’ll also be able to take advantage of our live Bet Boosts, which enhance the odds of certain selections while a match is ongoing.

In-Play odds will be available on all matches in the division, and we’ll even provide all the information you need before you select your bet with statistics and live commentary available on our website and app.

Allsvenskan Structure and Teams

Considered by many to be Scandinavia's best football league (though fans of Denmark's Superliga may strongly disagree), Sweden's Allsvenskan sees 16 clubs face each other twice over a season that normally runs from March until November. That means that in total, each team plays 30 matches in a campaign.

Naturally, the club that finishes top of the division wins the title, while also securing qualification for the following season’s Champions League first qualifying round. The two sides in second and third place will play in the second qualifying round of Europe’s third tier continental competition – the Europa Conference League.

At the other end of the table, the teams that finish in the bottom two positions will automatically be relegated to the Superettan. Meanwhile, whoever finishes in 14th place will face a two-legged play-off against the third placed club from the second tier to determine who gets the final Allsvenskan spot for the following season.

Recent History of Football in Sweden

Even those with little knowledge of Allsvenskan Betting will surely recognise the league's most successful and most famous club, with Malmo FF a regular name among European competitions. The Sky Blues proved particularly strong on the continent in the ‘70s and ‘80s, reaching their peak with a narrow European Cup final defeat against Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest in 1979.

And while the years since may not have proven quite as successful on the European stage, domestically Malmo have continued to dominate, and they hold the record for the most title wins. That isn’t to say that other clubs haven’t emerged victorious though, as the likes of Djurgardens IF, AIK, IFK Norrkoping, Elfsborg, and Helsingborgs IF have all lifted the trophy in recent seasons when the prolific club from the very south of Sweden have faltered.

Fancy Malmo to add to their title collection this season? Or do you think one of the underdogs will upset the odds? Whoever you fancy, you can back them with BetVictor’s comprehensive Swedish Allsvenskan betting markets.
