When it comes to combat sports, boxing has led the way in terms of viewership for many decades. With so many big fights scheduled every year, there's always an upcoming bout to look forward to.
Here at BetVictor, we have a range of online boxing betting markets, alongside comprehensive coverage from every weight division. From the big names such as Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk and Katie Taylor, to up-and-coming contenders, BetVictor have betting options available for them all. You can even bet on PPV events with Anthony Joshua v Jake Paul betting an example of the markets available!
There are a huge number of betting markets that are available for boxing matches, with some of the most popular options being:
Often known as the MoneyLine bet, this involves simply picking the winner of the fight. How they win doesn't matter; however, if the bout results in a draw, outright winner bets will be marked as a loss.
As the name suggests, placing this type of bet revolves around picking which round the fight will end in. You can also pick the winner of the fight in combination with this, for example, Anthony Joshua to win in round 4.
The total rounds bet is shown in an over or under format, for example, over or under 4.5. Placing a wager on over 4.5 would mean that if a total of five rounds are complete, the bet would be marked as a win. However, if the fight ends in rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, then the Under 4.5 rounds bet would be the winning one.
This type of bet is almost identical to regular round betting. However, more than one round is covered. An example of this would be Anthony Joshua to win in rounds 4-7. While the boxing odds are lower for grouped round betting than the standard counterpart, it does cover more possible outcomes during the bout.
The method of victory bets involves picking how the fight will end, which is often split into five different options. These are boxer 1 by KO, TKO or disqualification, boxer 1 by decision or technical decision, draw or technical draw, box 2 by KO, TKO or disqualification, and boxer 2 by decision or technical decision.
In boxing terms, going the distance is when all rounds are used, leading to the fight going to the judge's scorecards. You can bet on whether you think this will be the case, or whether the fight will get stopped by a KO, TKO, or disqualification. The winner of the bout doesn't matter but keep in mind that some matches are longer than others.
