After ten glorious years under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, a new era begins at Manchester City with Enzo Maresca at the helm. The former Chelsea manager will be tasked with fighting on all fronts throughout the 2026-27 campaign. Especially as the Cityzens missed out on the title to Arsenal last term, but they completed a domestic double by landing the FA and League Cup. There is no reason why Manchester City can't win the Premier League in 2026-27. The Cityzens are one of the finest teams in the country but getting the better of rivals Arsenal is the main and most obvious hurdle to navigate. Although a number of key players - and Pep Guardiola - have left the club in the summer,  the Sky Blues have enough about them to not only trouble the Gunners, but clinch top spot in May 2027. 

New additions will need to settle in quickly and adapt to Enzo Maresca's style of play.  And if that comes to fruition and Man City can regain their best form from years gone by, particularly by dominating games in midfield, they could certainly win the Premier League, but what do the latest football betting odds have to say about their chances?

According to the latest Premier League betting odds, Manchester City are second favourites to lift the title at the end of the 2026-27 season. They sit behind the current champions Arsenal in the market, who brushed aside the Cityzens 3-0  in the 2026 Community Shield at Cardiff on August 16, 2026. Liverpool are the third favourites with  Man United and Chelsea also in the reckoning. 

It was Manchester City's Champions League performance that was particularly underwhelming last season, with the Cityzens suffering shock league phase defeats to Bayer Leverkusen and minnows Bodo/Glimt. In the knockout stages, rivals Real Madrid defeated City 5-1 on aggregate in the R16. Despite them crashing out early in 2025-26, the most recent Champions League betting odds still give the Cityzens a reasonable shot at European glory, sitting as the joint fourth-favourites to win the tournament behind PSG, Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

While Manchester City did not win the Premier League or Champions League last season, they did enjoy domestic success in both cup competitions. The Cityzens beat Arsenal 2-0 in the EFL Cup final and also clinched a 1-0  win against Chelsea in the FA Cup final. Naturally, they're among the favourites in the FA Cup betting and EFL Cup betting markets for 2026-27, sitting just behind Arsenal at the time of writing.
