Big Bash is a professional club Twenty20 cricket league that takes place in Australia, and it’s been in operation since 2011 when Cricket Australia formed it. The format sees eight city-based teams going head to head in the Big Bash League, and Big Bash is renowned for being one of the leading cricket leagues on the planet, right up there with the Indian Premier League.

The Big Bash League begins in the summer in Australia, with action starting in December and running from then through January before finishing in February. Out of the eight teams that are currently competing in the Big Bash, six of them have won the league on at least one occasion. Defending champions Brisbane heat also have the capability to be crowned Big Bash champions again themselves.
