Ancient tombs are rarely short of treasure, although Double Cash Mummy has found two particularly eager characters to collect it. Developed by Iron Dog Studio, part of the 1X2 Network, this six-reel slot places a cartoon mummy on either side of the playing area. Both can collect Cash Symbols from the grid, sometimes during the same spin. The game also includes up to 4,096 win ways and a Bonus Collect Feature with guaranteed Collectors.
Double Cash Mummy takes place inside an Egyptian chamber, although it is considerably brighter than the average dusty tomb-themed slot games. A golden reel frame sits against walls marked with hieroglyphics, while coins, gems and other pieces of treasure are piled across the upper part of the screen. The palette favours rich gold, purple, blue and red tones, and the two mummies provide most of the game’s personality. One peers out of a sarcophagus to the left of the reels, dressed in a red waistcoat and hat. His blue-decorated companion occupies the opposite side. Their positions are important, as each mummy can place a Collector on the nearest outer reel. Playing-card values make up the lower end of the symbol set. Egyptian objects and characters sit above them, including the Eye of Horus, an ankh, a falcon, a scarab and a pharaoh. Small character animations accompany the collection events, which help connect the action on the reels with the two mummies above them.

The pharaoh is the highest-paying regular symbol and the only ordinary symbol that awards a return for two of a kind. Wilds can appear on reels two through six and substitute for any standard paying symbol. They do not replace Scatters, Cash Symbols or Collectors.
Cash Symbols may appear with multiplier values between 0.50x and 2,500x the stake. On some base game spins, either mummy can add a Collector Symbol to the grid. The left Collector appears on reel one, while the right Collector is restricted to reel six. A Collector gathers the values of every Cash Symbol currently in view. The useful part comes when both characters become involved at once. If a Collector lands at each end of the reels, both gather the complete group of visible Cash Symbols, effectively awarding those values twice.
Mini, Minor and Major Prize Symbols may appear in place of ordinary cash values. These fixed prizes are worth 25x, 250x and 2,500x respectively, and must also be gathered by a Collector before they award anything.
Three or more pyramid Scatters trigger the Bonus Collect Feature. The number of respins depends on how many Scatters started it. Three Scatters provide two respins, four award three, five award five and six provide eight. Regular symbols and standard win ways are removed during this feature. Each respin displays only Cash Symbols, Prize Symbols, Collectors and empty spaces. At least one Collector is guaranteed to appear on every spin, so any eligible values in view are gathered immediately.
This round differs slightly from the usual Hold and Win arrangement. Cash Symbols do not remain locked on the reels and there is no reset counter. Every respin produces a new result, which makes the feature more of a sequence of individual collections than one gradually expanding group of prizes.
The game uses six reels with four symbol positions on each one. Wins are formed by landing matching symbols on consecutive reels, beginning with the first reel. Depending on the arrangement, there can be as many as 4,096 ways to win. Several copies of the same symbol can appear on a single reel. When that happens across a winning combination, each possible route through those matching symbols counts as a separate win way. Only the highest payout is awarded on each individual way.
The two Collectors are a simple idea, but they give Double Cash Mummy an identity beyond its familiar Egyptian setting. Their fixed positions make the mechanic easy to follow: the left character handles reel one, the right character handles reel six, and both can collect the same values when they arrive together. The bonus round is fairly lean by comparison. Cash Symbols disappear after each respin, so there is no developing board or sense of building towards a larger final collection. Still, guaranteeing at least one Collector per respin removes the frustration of landing cash values without the symbol needed to gather them. Players who prefer compact collection mechanics may appreciate that direct structure of this online casino title. Those looking for several stages, upgrades or a lengthy free spins round may find it rather limited.
