Three Bandits: Shoot ’n’ Spin Slot Game Review

Three Bandits: Shoot ’n’ Spin doesn’t waste much time setting the scene. The reels are planted in a frontier town, the outlaws are already staring back, and the feature list reads like somebody emptied a saloon drawer full of bullets, keys, and bad intentions onto the table.

Greentube builds the game around a 5x4 layout, western characters, and three coloured Buck scatters that can start separate bonus modes or collide into bigger combined rounds. It’s a busier setup than the average cowboy slot, which is either good news or a warning label depending on your patience for feature heavy reel games.

Theme & Graphic

The look is straight from the comic book end of the Wild West. We get wanted poster faces, dusty town styling, brick walls, wooden signage, and enough guns and explosives to make the whole thing feel mildly unsafe. It doesn’t go for realism, which is probably the right call. Three Bandits: Shoot ’n’ Spin works better as a lively frontier caper than as a serious western drama.

The art is clear and easy to read, which is important because a lot is happening once the special symbols start dropping. Among online slots, there are darker and moodier western games, but this one is happier being loud, colourful, and a little unruly. The three bandit portraits do most of the personality work, while the scatter Buck symbols and bullet features keep the game from ever going static.

Payout Table

The paytable is split between lower royal symbols and the three outlaw characters at the top end. The wild sits above the rest, with the best standard payout in the game.

Special Symbols

  • Wild: The Wild substitutes for all regular paying symbols except the Buck scatters. It can also pay on its own, which gives it more presence than a simple filler symbol.
  • Red Buck: The Red Buck is a scatter symbol that can trigger the Shoot ’n’ Spin feature. It can also combine with the other Buck scatters to start mixed bonus rounds.
  • Blue Buck: The Blue Buck starts the Jackpots Spin feature. If paired with other Buck scatters, it helps create combined versions of the bonus game.
  • Green Buck: The Green Buck triggers the Multiplier feature. Its real value appears if it lands alongside the red or blue Buck, because then the mechanics start stacking together.

Bonus Features

Shoot ’n’ Spin Feature

The Shoot ’n’ Spin feature begins when the Red Buck triggers 10 free games. During the round, Targets can land and potentially pay values if they’re hit by Silver Bullets. Those bullets and bullet cylinders are collected from the leftmost reel before the Targets land, and the cylinders are worth five bullets each.

The feature gets more interesting once the bullet count starts climbing. A Target can potentially be hit several times, and if there are enough bullets in play, the same symbol may be struck repeatedly. If the number of bullets matches the number of Targets, each one is hit once. If there are far more bullets than Targets, the round can start looking much less polite. There’s also a Target Bounty counter that keeps track of how many different Targets have been hit. Hit enough of them and extra bet based rewards are potentially added on top.

Jackpots Spin Feature

The Blue Buck starts the Jackpots Spin feature, which also awards 10 free games. Here the focus shifts from bullets to keys and lockboxes above the reels. Keys land during the round and are collected toward the lockboxes, each of which starts with a requirement of five keys before it opens and pays a jackpot.

Once a lockbox has been opened and paid, it closes again and resets to five. That means the feature isn’t a one way climb to a single reward. It can cycle if the right symbols potentially keep landing. There is also a Skeleton Key that reduces the required number on all lockboxes by one, which gives the round a little more pace when things would otherwise be plodding along.

Multiplier Feature

The Green Buck triggers the Multiplier feature and, yes, that means another set of 10 free games. During this round, symbols hit by Golden Bullets transform into Wilds. Up to four Golden Bullets can be collected from the rightmost reel after the symbols have landed, and those bullets may carry no multiplier, a 2x multiplier, or a 3x multiplier.

This part is stronger than it first looks because Wilds hit by Golden Bullets grow more dangerous. A Wild that gets struck by a bullet with a multiplier gains that value plus one. So a Wild hit by a 3x Golden Bullet becomes a Wild with x4. If multiple Wilds with multipliers potentially end up on the same winning line, those values multiply together.

Combined Features

Three Bandits: Shoot ’n’ Spin gets busier when more than one Buck scatter lands together. Red and Blue combine Shoot ’n’ Spin with Jackpots Spin. Red and Green combine Shoot ’n’ Spin with the Multiplier feature. Blue and Green merge the Jackpots and Multiplier mechanics. If all three Buck symbols land together, all three features run at the same time.

That sounds like a lot because it is a lot. The game throws bullets, keys, Targets, lockboxes, multipliers, and Wild transformations into one round and expects the player to keep up. To be fair, once the logic settles, the combinations make sense. But this is definitely the point where the slot stops being a straightforward western reel game and starts resembling a saloon argument with props.

Spin Mechanics

The game uses a 5x4 reel setup with 20 paylines, where standard symbol wins are made on paylines, while the Buck symbols work as scatters and can trigger features on their own. According to the game rules, line wins can pay from left to right or right to left on selected lines, and only the highest potential win is paid on each selected line.

That means the regular spin cycle isn’t especially complicated by itself. The complication comes from what the Buck symbols can do once they land. Red, Blue, and Green Buck symbols scatter each point toward a different free games mode, and when they combine, the mechanics stack. That Three Bandits: Shoot ’n’ Spin one of those slots in online casinos where the base game is really there to funnel you toward the part where everything starts colliding.

Similar Slots

A few other titles fit here if the appeal lies in western themes or in features that keep piling onto one another.

  • Dead or Alive 3 Wanted: This is the obvious western neighbour, though it goes for a darker look and a harsher wild based bonus setup.
  • Catch the Robbers: The Getaway: While it has a more comic book tone, it also builds much of its identity around side action that keeps tugging attention away from plain line wins.
  • Scorchin' Peppers: The title isn’t exactly a theme match, but it suits players who like compact reel action with extra feature pressure coming from multipliers and special symbols.

BetVictor’s Opinion

Three Bandits: Shoot ’n’ Spin has the good sense not to pretend it is a quiet western. The whole game is built around feature traffic. Bullets fly in from one side, keys creep in from another, Targets wait to be hit, and Wild multipliers start getting ideas above their station. We think that is the main strength here. When the slot gets going, it rarely feels sleepy.

The downside is that the game can seem overcrowded if you’d rather not memorise three bonus rules and then the rules for all the combinations of those bonus rules. Still, there is something entertainingly shameless about that excess. Greentube didn’t build a restrained cowboy slot and then accidentally spill mechanics all over it. This was clearly the plan from the start, and on its own terms, it works.
