Who Is The Favourite To Win The 2026 US PGA Championship?

The US PGA Championship Is The Second Golf Major Of The Year

US PGA Championship | Aronimink Golf Club, Pennsylvania. | May 14-17, 2026

Who is the 2026 US PGA Championship favourite? After the US Masters extravaganza at Augusta last month, attentions now turn to the US PGA Championship betting markets with the second major of the year firmly on the horizon.

Rory McIlroy – still on cloud nine having won back-to-back Green Jackets at Augusta – will be aiming for his third PGA success. The Northern Irishman will be one of 156 players aiming for glory in Pennsylvania this weekend. But once again, world number one and reigning champion Scottie Scheffler will be the main attraction.

But interestingly, what makes the PGA Championship so unique is its ability to throw up surprises and even first-time major winners. Keegan Bradley’s heroics in 2011 and Jimmy Walker’s victory in 2016 spring to mind. Which is something to bear in mind when it comes to golf betting on BetVictor.

Who Is The 2026 US PGA Championship Favourite?

At the time of publication, the US PGA Championship odds favour Scottie Scheffler to reign supreme at Aronimink. Not only is Scheffler the world number one, he is the 2025 victor and will be looking to land his fifth overall major. He can be backed at 5/1.

Scheffler has already confirmed his place on the US PGA Championship winners list and is looking to become the third man to record successive wins at the PGA Championship in the stroke play format. Brooks Koepka did so in 2018 and 2019 with Tiger Woods achieving the feat on two separate occasions (1999, 2000 and 2006, 2007).

Rory McIlroy US PGA Championship Odds

After his Augusta exploits four weeks ago, BetVictor released the Rory McIlroy Specials 2026 – Major Wins market. The Northern Irishman held his nerve to land the US Masters and can be backed at 17/2 to taste victory in Pennsylvania.

Rors is currently priced at 60/1 to become the first male golfer in history to land all four majors in the same year. The closest to achieve the feat was Tiger Woods. He held the US PGA Championship, US Open and Open in the year 2000. He went on to win the 2001 US Masters so held all four at the same time, just not in the same year. This is referred to as the Tiger Slam.

Of course, it’s a huge ask for McIlroy but the way he is playing currently means it has potential. However, Aronimink Golf Club doesn’t have a lot of course history to go on. Rain is forecast on Wednesday but the sunny weather should return for the weekend. So if he can adapt, there’s no reason why Rory can’t go all the way. Again.
