Walter Hagen and Jack Nicklaus have the most PGA Championship wins with five each. Tiger Woods has four victories with Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead and Brooks Koepka all on three. A total of 16 players have two victories which include Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Gary Player and Ben Hogan.

Unsurprisingly, the USA has produced the most PGA Championship winners with 61 separate winners sharing a total of 89 victories. Australia boasts five wins from five different players with England, Fiji, Northern Ireland, South Africa and Zimbabwe all generating two victories with just the one player.

The best winning score at the PGA Championship in the stroke play era is Xander Schauffele’s 263 in 2024. The American ace finished on -21 and won the tournament by just a single stroke ahead of Bryson DeChambeau.
