Arsenal Odds to Win Premier League 2026/27

A year ago, Arsenal were still trying to end the wait. That part is done.

Mikel Arteta's side go into 2026/27 with a Premier League trophy to defend after finishing seven points clear of Manchester City last season. Arsenal collected 85 points and ended three straight years as runners-up by finally taking top spot.

The early market has them there again. Arsenal are 11/8 to win the 2026/27 Premier League, at the time of writing. Manchester City are the closest challengers, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea also among the leading contenders.

This page focuses on Arsenal's title chances and the season-long winner market. Match odds, player specials and betting across other competitions can be found through our wider Arsenal betting markets.

Latest Arsenal Odds to Win the Premier League

Arsenal begin the new season as favourites. Their 11/8 price, at the time of writing, puts the defending champions ahead of Manchester City at 11/4. Liverpool are 11/2, Manchester United 7/1 and Chelsea 8/1.

So this isn't a market expecting Arsenal to disappear over the horizon. They are favourites, yes. City are close enough to matter.

The picture will move throughout the campaign. A strong August could shorten Arsenal's price, while dropped points or injuries may push it the other way. Results elsewhere matter as well. Three City wins can alter the market even if Arsenal haven't done much wrong themselves.

For individual fixtures as they come around, the Premier League betting section carries the latest match markets.

Why Are Arsenal Premier League Favourites?

Because last season settled an argument that had followed them around for years.

Arsenal could sustain a title challenge. Everyone knew that much. Three second-place finishes proved it. What they had never done under Arteta was finish the job.

Then came 2025/26.

City's draw at Bournemouth made Arsenal champions before the final day, and victory at Crystal Palace took the final gap to seven points. It was their first Premier League title since the Invincibles in 2003/04.

There is also less upheaval at the Emirates than at some rival clubs. Arteta isn't arriving with a new playbook and six weeks to teach it. The important relationships are already there. Declan Rice knows the midfield. Bukayo Saka knows what is required on the right. William Saliba has spent years working inside the same defensive structure.

That sort of familiarity won't win a title by itself. Over nine months, though, having fewer things to figure out can help.

Can Arsenal Win the Premier League Again?

Nothing about retaining this trophy is routine. Even great Premier League champions have failed to repeat. The pressure changes once everybody spends the summer studying the team that finished first.

Arsenal will see that themselves. Some opponents will sit deeper. Others will try to disrupt the areas where Arteta's side controlled matches last year. Set pieces will receive even more attention after becoming such a productive weapon.

Then there is the mental side. For three seasons Arsenal were chasing somebody else. Now everybody begins behind them.

A draw on a difficult away day can feel very different when City have already won. One defeat can become a talking point for a week. That's the territory champions live in.

There is something useful on Arsenal's side, though. This squad has already experienced the bad version of a title race. They've watched one get away. Last year, they learned how to hold on.

Arsenal's Summer Business

Bruno Guimaraes changes the midfield options quite a bit. Arsenal brought him in from Newcastle this summer, adding a player who already understands the pace and physical side of Premier League football. Christos Tzolis has joined from Club Brugge as well.

Guimaraes doesn't have to arrive and rescue anything. That's probably the attraction.

Put him alongside Rice and Arsenal suddenly have a lot of control and aggression through the middle. Use him differently and Arteta has another player capable of receiving the ball when an opponent presses hard.

The squad already had a strong base. David Raya, for example, kept 19 league clean sheets last season on his way to the Golden Glove. Arsenal's defensive record was one of the reasons they could survive games where the attack never really caught fire.

Adding to that rather than starting again is a good position for any defending champion.

Arsenal vs Manchester City in the Title Race

This is where things become interesting. City are still the obvious threat.

A managerial change creates questions, but the squad hasn't suddenly lost Erling Haaland or Rodri. There is enough quality there for Arsenal to know that another strong points total may be needed.

Liverpool sit in the next group. They enter a more obvious period of change, while Manchester United will want to build on last season's third-place finish. Chelsea have enough talent to force themselves into the conversation too.

The difference is that Arsenal no longer need to imagine what a title-winning season looks like. They've just had one.

For the full field rather than Arsenal alone, the latest Premier League winner markets show how every contender is currently positioned.

Arsenal's First Premier League Fixtures

Coventry City are first. The newly promoted side visit the Emirates on Friday 21 August, with kick-off at 8pm. After that, Arsenal travel to Aston Villa before hosting Chelsea. Sunderland away and Brighton at home complete their first five league fixtures.

It isn't the softest opening stretch imaginable. It isn't brutal either.

Where things become useful from a betting perspective is watching what the market does with those results. Nine points from the opening three would move the conversation one way. Four points would tell a different story.

October and November then start throwing bigger tests into the schedule. Liverpool away arrives before trips to Newcastle and a home meeting with Manchester City.

That City game could be particularly influential. It won't decide the title in November. It could change the mood around the race quite sharply.

What Could Hurt Arsenal's Title Chances?

The usual problems don't disappear because a club won the league. Injuries are first.

Arsenal have more depth now, but losing Saka for a long stretch would still alter the attack. The same applies to Rice in midfield or Saliba at the back.

Then comes the fixture load. Arsenal reached the Champions League final last season as well as winning the Premier League. Going deep in Europe again would mean important midweek matches landing directly beside a title run-in.

That is where another summer of recruitment becomes useful. A player who can take 20 minutes off Rice here, start instead of somebody else there or change the shape of a difficult game doesn't always grab the headline. Across 50-plus matches, those options add up.

The other risk is simply improvement elsewhere. Arsenal can be better than last season and still find City better too.

That's what should keep the title race interesting.

Where Can Arsenal Still Improve?

Being champions doesn't mean the side is finished.

There were games last season where Arsenal controlled huge amounts of possession without creating enough from open play. Their set pieces regularly found another route, but relying on dead-ball situations every time a match becomes stubborn isn't ideal.

That makes the attacking side of Arteta's team worth watching. Saka remains capable of deciding games on his own, but Arsenal are harder to defend when danger comes from several areas. More goals from midfield would help. So would having different ways to attack teams who leave very little space behind them.

Guimaraes could play a part there without necessarily producing huge goal numbers himself. If his presence allows Rice or Odegaard to take up different positions, the effect may show elsewhere.

Then there is game management. Champions don't spend 38 matches playing beautifully. Some weekends are about getting through an ugly final 20 minutes with the lead intact.

Arsenal became much better at that last season. Doing it again will matter just as much as producing another spectacular attacking performance.

How Arsenal's Title Price Can Move

The league table will always have the biggest influence, but it isn't the only factor. Form matters most when several results come together. Five consecutive wins tell the market far more than one good afternoon.

Head-to-head matches can have an even bigger effect because two contenders are directly taking points from one another.

January matters too. A major signing can change expectations. So can a long-term injury. Champions League progression might help confidence while making the calendar much harder.

Even identical results can mean different things at different points in the season. A draw away to a strong side in September may barely register. Drop two points in April while a rival is one behind and everything feels bigger.

Other Arsenal Premier League Markets

Not everybody expecting a strong Arsenal season has to back them for the trophy.

A top-two finish is 8/15, at the time of writing, while Arsenal are 1/14 to finish inside the top four. Those markets offer a different position on the season. Arsenal could fall short of retaining the title and still comfortably finish among the league's leading clubs.

There are player options as well, including top goalscorer and season-long goal markets involving Arsenal's attacking players.

Each-way terms are also available on selected outright markets. Where that option appears, part of the stake backs the selection to win and another part covers the stated place terms.

The each-way bet calculator can show the potential win and place returns before confirming a bet.

Prices and terms can change, so always check the market itself first.

Arsenal's Premier League Title History

The trophy lifted in May was Arsenal's 14th English league championship. Four of those have now come during the Premier League era. The earlier three were won in 1997/98, 2001/02 and 2003/04.

That last one remains impossible to separate from the word Arsenal. The Invincibles went through all 38 league games without defeat.

Arteta's champions didn't copy them. They had their own job to finish. After coming second three years running, 85 points were enough to end the wait and put Arsenal back at the top of English football.

Now there is another target. Win again, and Arsenal move from ending a drought to building a run.

Back Arsenal to Win the Premier League

Arsenal enter 2026/27 in a very different position from the one they occupied a year ago. They are the champions.

They have retained the manager and core of the squad that got them there, while new arrivals give Arteta more options for another long campaign.

Manchester City remain the obvious danger. Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all have reasons to believe they can join the fight too.

Arsenal remain 11/8 to win the Premier League, at the time of writing, but the market will change as the season develops.

Last year answered whether Arteta's side were capable of finishing first. Now comes the harder part. Doing it again.
