KSI vs Tommy Fury Prediction

It’s here. The War of Words ends this weekend. KSI and Tommy Fury will finally swap their jibes for jabs.

Date: Saturday, October 14

Venue: AO Arena, Manchester

Approximated main event ringwalks: 10:50PM

This Saturday, in a packed Manchester AO arena, Tommy Fury – with a 9-0-0 boxing record, will face off against Olajide Olatunji (KSI) who has just 1 professional boxing win to his name. As part of the MF & DAZN X Series 10, these two fighters will go head to head after months of slinging words at each other, in an effort to see who comes out on top.

While many professional fighters, including the likes of Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton, are predicting KSI will be no match for the true boxer, Tommy Fury, the underdog’s unpredictable style means that nothing should be written off just yet. That being said, it appears that even the bookmakers have chosen their side, as just looking at the BetVictor KSI vs Tommy Fury odds, at the time of writing, Fury is sitting as the heavy favourite at 2/7 while KSI is out at 5/2 to win the bout. Whilst it’s unlikely that Fury will have faced this style before, he is almost what some would consider a ‘proper boxer’ and should be able to deal with another one of these so-called YouTube imposters. This bout begs the question, so just what tempted KSI to step up in class against Tyson Fury’s brother, having rejected an earlier callout by Tommy in 2019.

It seems that after Tommy defeated Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, thanks to a split-points decision, Paul’s decision to ignore a rematch and take on MMA fighter Nate Diaz created an opening. At MF & DAZN X Series 7, KSI did in-fact fight Joe Fournier and win via a controversial knockout, but this was overruled and judged a no contest after an apparent elbow was involved. However, in July this year at X Series 8, it was revealed that both KSI and Logan Paul would headline X Series 10, later determining that KSI would face Tommy Fury and Logan Paul would take on American streamer Dillon Danis (JiDion). With that announcement made to the public, thus started a war of words between KSI (The Nightmare) and Fury ( TNT) that will finally culminate this Saturday around 10pm, depending on the undercard fights, where one fighter hopes to walk away with the ultimate bragging rights.

Our Best Bet- Tommy Fury to win by decision or technical decision (9/4)

Fury is adamant that he can secure a first-round knockout against the Youtuber. He said that about Jake Paul too, however, he only managed to beat him by split decision in Riyadh. When it comes to boxing, it’s uncommon for both the winner and the loser of a fight to walk away feeling somewhat humbled.

Similarly, to his bout with Jake Paul, Fury’s focus will be on eliminating any possibility of a KSI result. What we mean by this is that despite his comments on going for an early knockout, it seems unlikely that he’ll try go blow for blow with a notoriously unpredictable fighter. He is the better boxer of the two, thus, it would make sense for him to out-box his opponent rather than taking a far riskier gung-ho knockout approach. As such, our Best Bet for this bout is the same as the last time Tommy Fury fought an entertainment star- Fury to win by decision or technical decision.

Whatever happens this weekend at the AO arena, Tommy Fury’s recently broadcast 9-week muscle mass gain and cut physique, coupled with KSI’s lack of boxing experience, has only served to show his dedication to the cause and reinforce the Tommy Fury KSI odds that have him as the almost certain victor when the two meet head to head.
