There is no UFC event on tonight, Friday 9 October, but British fans only have to wait until tomorrow before the promotion returns in Las Vegas.
Brendan Allen faces Christian Leroy Duncan in a five-round middleweight main event at the Meta APEX on Saturday 10 October. Allen is ranked No.4, Duncan is No.10 and both arrive on strong winning runs, giving the British contender a genuine opportunity to jump from the edge of the top 10 into the middleweight title conversation.
There is more British interest immediately underneath, with Jai Herbert facing Matheus Camilo at lightweight.
For everything coming after this weekend, our UFC schedule 2026 tracks the confirmed cards, dates and UK start times.
Is UFC On Tonight?
No. There is no UFC card taking place tonight, Friday 9 October.
The next event is UFC Fight Night: Allen vs Duncan tomorrow, Saturday 10 October, from the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
The main details are:
- Event: UFC Fight Night: Allen vs Duncan
- Date: Saturday 10 October 2026
- UK viewing date: Saturday 10 into Sunday 11 October
- Venue: Meta APEX, Las Vegas
- Main event: Brendan Allen vs Christian Leroy Duncan
- Weight class: Middleweight
- Prelims: 10pm BST
- Main card: 1am BST on Sunday
- Expected main event: Around 3am BST
- UK TV: TNT Sports
- UK streaming: HBO Max
The UFC officially lists the prelims for 5pm ET and the main card for 8pm ET. Britain remains on BST until later in October, so those convert to 10pm and 1am respectively.
The estimated 3am start for Allen vs Duncan is exactly that: an estimate.
There are four other main-card fights currently scheduled before the middleweights enter the Octagon, so the actual cage walks will depend on how quickly those bouts finish.
What UFC Is On Tomorrow?
Tomorrow’s UFC card is headlined by Brendan Allen vs Christian Leroy Duncan.
It is not a championship fight, but I actually think the stakes make it more interesting than plenty of Fight Night main events.
Allen has spent several years trying to force his way into a middleweight title shot. He is currently ranked fourth, has won three fights in a row and is only a couple of names removed from champion Sean Strickland.
Duncan is coming from the opposite direction.
The Gloucester fighter has worked his way from prospect to No.10 contender during a five-fight winning streak and now gets comfortably the biggest opportunity of his career.
The latest champions and contenders across every division can be found in our updated UFC rankings 2026 page.
Christian Leroy Duncan Has Earned This Step Up
Duncan enters tomorrow with a 15-2 professional record, including ten knockout victories.
What I like about his recent run is that the opposition has gradually become more difficult rather than the UFC throwing him straight into the deep end.
He stopped Eryk Anders and Marco Tulio before beating Roman Dolidze on points in March. Then came Jared Cannonier.
That was the fight where Duncan needed to prove his striking still worked against someone who had spent years around the top of the middleweight division. It did.
Duncan beat Cannonier by unanimous decision in July, taking scorecards of 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28. UFC’s own post-fight report described it as the biggest victory of his career and confirmed that the result extended his winning streak to five.
Now he gets Allen. There is a fairly obvious difference in the matchup. Duncan generally wants space.
His movement, kicking game and variety become much more dangerous when he can control the distance and make an opponent react.
Allen has every reason to take that space away.
Brendan Allen Is Still Dangerous on the Ground
Allen enters with a 27-7 record, but the number that stands out is 14 submission victories.
Eleven of those have come by rear-naked choke.
He has become a more rounded fighter over the years, yet grappling remains the area where I would expect him to hold the clearest advantage over Duncan.
Allen has also responded well after consecutive defeats to Nassourdine Imavov and Anthony Hernandez threatened to knock him out of the title picture.
He beat Marvin Vettori by unanimous decision, stopped Reinier de Ridder after four rounds and then defeated Edmen Shahbazyan on points in June.
Three wins later, he is back at No.4. That makes tomorrow slightly awkward for him.
Allen is expected to win because of the ranking gap and his experience, but beating No.10 does not necessarily move him much higher.
Losing to Duncan does. For Duncan, the equation is much easier.
Beat the fourth-ranked middleweight and everybody has to take you seriously.

The UFC currently has 12 fights scheduled for tomorrow’s Meta APEX card.

As always during fight week, individual bouts and running order can still change before Saturday night.
British Interest: Jai Herbert vs Matheus Camilo
Duncan is not the only British fighter worth staying up for.
Jai Herbert faces Brazil’s Matheus Camilo in the co-main event slot immediately before Allen vs Duncan.
Camilo enters with an 11-3 record, with five wins by knockout and another two by submission. His last appearance ended in victory over Nazim Sadykhov in June.
Herbert brings considerably more UFC experience. At 38, though, there is not much room left for rebuilding projects.
That gives the fight a slightly different feel. For Camilo, beating an experienced name like Herbert gives him another useful step forwards.
For Herbert, it is about proving he can still put together a meaningful run at lightweight rather than becoming the experienced opponent younger fighters use to move up.
The timing is good for British viewers too. Herbert is directly underneath the main event, so anyone staying up for Duncan will get both British fighters back-to-back.
Godinez vs Souza Is Worth Watching
Outside the British fights, Loopy Godinez vs Ketlen Souza is probably the matchup I am most interested in.
Godinez is currently ranked No.8 at women’s strawweight, meaning another good win keeps her within touching distance of the division’s leading contenders.
Souza is the less established name at that level, but she has an opportunity to make a significant rankings jump.
That is normally the sort of Fight Night matchup I like. One fighter has already spent time around the rankings.
The other gets a chance to prove she belongs there. There is something tangible on the other side of the result.
What Time Does UFC Tomorrow Start in the UK?
The first fights begin at 10pm BST tomorrow night.
The main card then gets underway at 1am BST on Sunday morning.
A rough UK schedule looks like this:
- Prelims: 10pm Saturday
- Main card: 1am Sunday
- Jai Herbert vs Matheus Camilo: Approximately 2.30am
- Allen vs Duncan: Approximately 3am
Only the first two times are officially scheduled.
The Herbert and Duncan timings depend entirely on what happens earlier in the evening.
This card has several matchups which could finish quickly, but trying to set an alarm around an estimated UFC main-event start is always risky.
One unexpected five-rounder is not possible outside the main event, but four slow three-round decisions can still push everything back.
How to Watch UFC This Weekend in the UK
UK viewers can watch Allen vs Duncan live on TNT Sports, with streaming available through HBO Max.
TNT Sports has officially listed the 10 October Fight Night among its confirmed UFC broadcasts and says it carries every UFC card for British viewers.
The schedule is:
- Prelims: 10pm BST
- Main card: 1am BST
In the United States, the entire event streams live on Paramount+.
If the UK broadcast setup has become confusing since the move to HBO Max, our guide to how to watch UFC in the UK covers the current options in more detail.
Allen vs Duncan Betting
This is one of those fights where the rankings only tell you part of the story. Allen is No.4 for a reason.
He has much more experience around elite UFC middleweights and has a clear submission threat if he can turn Duncan’s striking match into a grappling contest. Duncan has the momentum.
He has won five straight, just comfortably outpointed Cannonier and tends to absorb relatively little damage for someone who prefers to spend most of his fights striking.
UFC statistics currently have Duncan landing 4.45 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 2.36. Allen lands 3.75 while absorbing 3.78.
Statistics are not a prediction on their own, particularly when the two men have faced different opposition, but they help explain why Duncan is an interesting underdog despite the ranking gap.
Depending on availability, UFC markets can include:

What Happened at the UFC Last Weekend?
Natalia Silva became the new UFC women’s flyweight champion at UFC 332.
Silva beat Wang Cong by unanimous decision over five rounds in Salt Lake City, taking scorecards of 49-46, 48-47 and 48-47.
The rest of the event was considerably more violent.
UFC 332 produced 11 KO/TKO finishes across 14 fights, including nine in the opening round, with the promotion confirming that the card set new UFC records for knockouts and first-round finishes.
Payton Talbott stopped former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo, Roman Kopylov finished Ateba Gautier and Johnny Walker knocked out Mick Parkin during his heavyweight debut.
Every winner, stoppage and scorecard can be found on our UFC results 2026 page.
What Is the Next UFC Event After Allen vs Duncan?
There is another one-week turnaround.
Joaquin Buckley vs Mike Malott headlines in Edmonton on Saturday 17 October.
Buckley is currently ranked No.10 at welterweight, while Canada’s Malott sits at No.13.
Then comes the considerably bigger one.
UFC 333 takes place in Abu Dhabi on 24 October, with Alexander Volkanovski defending the featherweight championship against undefeated No.1 contender Movsar Evloev.
Petr Yan vs Merab Dvalishvili 3 is also on the card for the bantamweight title.
Anyone wanting the full breakdown of the immediate next card can check our Next UFC Event page.
October gets much bigger from here.
UFC This Weekend: What to Watch For
Allen vs Duncan does not have a belt attached to it, and it obviously lacks the name recognition of the numbered events coming later this month.
I still think it is a useful card. For British viewers, Duncan getting a five-round main event against the No.4 middleweight is the obvious reason to watch.
We have already seen him deal with an experienced former title challenger in Cannonier.
Allen is a different problem. He is younger, ranked higher and presents a far more consistent grappling threat.
If Duncan deals with that as well, there is not much left to say about whether he belongs near the top of the division.
Jai Herbert fighting immediately underneath gives the UK audience another reason to tune in, while Godinez vs Souza and Fili vs Kamaka should provide decent action around them.
So for anyone searching UFC tonight, the answer on Friday is no. For UFC tomorrow or UFC this weekend, Allen vs Duncan is the one.
The prelims start at 10pm BST, the main card begins at 1am, and the main event should arrive at roughly 3am on Sunday morning.
