Jim Miller has been fighting in the UFC since 2008. Nearly two decades later, nobody has won more fights inside the Octagon.
Miller currently owns the record for the most UFC wins in history with 28, putting him three clear of Charles Oliveira and Neil Magny. Max Holloway is not far behind on 24.
It is a slightly different record from the ones people usually talk about. Winning streaks can be ended in one bad night. Championship records only count a small part of a fighter’s career.
This one rewards longevity. You have to keep turning up, keep fighting good opponents and, most importantly, keep winning.

Who Has the Most Wins in UFC History?
Jim Miller holds the record with 28 UFC victories.
The official UFC record book currently has the all-time top 10 as:

- Max Holloway, 24
- Andrei Arlovski, 23
- Donald Cerrone, 23
- Demian Maia, 22
- Jon Jones, 22
- Dustin Poirier, 22

Those are UFC wins only. Victories in promotions such as the WEC, PRIDE, Strikeforce or elsewhere do not increase the total.
That distinction matters with several names on the list.
Jim Miller: 28 UFC Wins
Miller’s record is not built around one dominant championship run. In fact, he never won a UFC title.
What he did instead was survive in one of the sport’s deepest divisions for an absurd amount of time.
Miller made his UFC debut against David Baron in October 2008. He was still winning UFC fights in May 2026, submitting Jared Gordon with a guillotine in the first round.
That took him to 28 wins from 47 UFC appearances, both promotional records.
There have been losing runs along the way. Miller has fought former champions, rising prospects, veterans and just about everything in between. He simply kept coming back.
His career also stretches across several generations of lightweight MMA. Miller fought at UFC 100, UFC 200 and UFC 300, which gives some idea of just how long he has been around.
The numbers are not only coming from decisions either. Miller sits second on the UFC’s all-time finishes list with 20.
That makes the record much more interesting than somebody piling up safe points wins over a long career.
Charles Oliveira and Neil Magny: 25 Wins
This is where the race gets interesting because both men are still active. Charles Oliveira has 25 UFC wins.
He also owns two other major records: 21 UFC finishes and 17 submission victories, both the highest totals in promotional history.
Oliveira’s career has been anything but straightforward.
There were losses early on, missed weight, a move between featherweight and lightweight and a period where it looked unlikely he would ever reach a UFC title.
Then everything clicked.
He eventually became lightweight champion and built one of the strongest finishing records the sport has seen.

His total is probably easier to overlook because he has never held UFC gold, but Magny owns the record for most wins in UFC welterweight history.
He added another in August 2026 when he stopped Ramiz Brahimaj in the second round. Twenty-five wins in one division is ridiculous consistency.
Max Holloway: 24 Wins
Max Holloway is only one victory behind Oliveira and Magny.
His latest win came against Conor McGregor in July 2026, taking Holloway to 24 UFC victories.
Unlike Miller or Magny, a large part of Holloway’s total was built while competing right at the top of a division.
He put together a long featherweight winning run, became champion and successfully defended the belt several times.
Wins over Jose Aldo, Brian Ortega, Calvin Kattar, Yair Rodriguez, Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier all sit on the résumé.
That brings up an important distinction. Having the most UFC wins does not mean having the longest unbeaten run.

Miller leads this list because of his total accumulated wins. Those victories did not all come consecutively.
Arlovski and Cerrone: 23 Wins
For a long time, Donald Cerrone was the name attached to this record.
He reached 23 UFC wins during a career where he became famous for fighting constantly, sometimes taking bouts with very little turnaround between them.
Jim Miller eventually caught him, then passed him. Andrei Arlovski also finished his UFC career with 23 victories.
That may surprise anyone who mainly remembers the later years of his heavyweight run.
Arlovski first became UFC heavyweight champion back in 2005, then remained relevant long enough to accumulate wins across several different eras of the division.
Heavyweight careers often end quickly once speed and durability begin to disappear.
Arlovski somehow kept finding ways to win decisions deep into his forties.
Three Fighters Sit on 22 UFC Wins
Demian Maia, Jon Jones and Dustin Poirier each have 22 victories on the UFC’s official leaderboard.
The three careers could hardly look more different.
Maia built much of his success around elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Poirier became known for violent lightweight fights and collected wins over names such as Conor McGregor, Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler.
Jones spent far more time in championship fights.
That last point is why career wins and championship records should not be confused.

Different record. Different achievement.
Rafael dos Anjos: 21 UFC Wins
Rafael dos Anjos completes the current top 10 with 21 victories. Again, longevity plays a huge role.
RDA debuted in the UFC in 2008 and went on to compete at both lightweight and welterweight.
His best period brought the lightweight championship, with wins over Anthony Pettis, Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone and Benson Henderson around that stage of his career.
He later moved to 170lb and continued adding victories there.
It is easy to focus on champions when looking back through UFC history, but this leaderboard rewards something slightly different.
You have to remain useful at the highest level for years. RDA did exactly that.
Which Active Fighter Is Closest to Jim Miller?
Charles Oliveira and Neil Magny are currently the closest with 25 wins each. Max Holloway follows on 24.
The funny part is that Miller himself is still listed as active.
At 42 years old, he has not officially handed anyone the chance to catch him yet. His May 2026 submission of Jared Gordon actually pushed the record further away again.
Whether anyone eventually reaches 28 will depend on more than ability. They need fights. They need longevity.
And they need to keep winning when younger opponents start arriving. That is what makes the record difficult.
Most UFC Wins vs Most UFC Finishes
These are also different records. Miller has the most wins overall with 28.
Charles Oliveira leads the UFC in finishes with 21, while Miller sits immediately behind him on 20. Donald Cerrone and Derrick Lewis are next with 16 each.
A decision counts exactly the same as a knockout or submission when we are talking about career wins.
Method only becomes relevant when you start separating those victories into different record categories.
That is why one fighter can lead the wins list while another owns the finishing record.
Could Jim Miller’s UFC Wins Record Be Broken?
Definitely. It just might take a while. Oliveira and Magny are only three behind. Holloway is four back. On paper, that looks close.
In reality, three or four UFC wins can represent several years of work once a fighter is competing only once or twice annually.
A loss changes nothing about the total, but it burns one of those opportunities. Age matters too.
The fighters nearest Miller are not prospects beginning their UFC careers. They have already spent years accumulating the totals that put them this high.
That is why 28 is such an unusual number. Miller did not have to be unbeatable.
He had to remain good enough to win UFC fights for almost 18 years.
