Who Are The Likeliest Contenders To Stop Jannik Sinner Winning The 2026 French Open?

With the 2026 French Open up-and-running, all eyes will be on Jannik Sinner as he seeks to complete his career Grand Slam at Roland-Garros.

The Italian recorded his 30th consecutive win after breezing past Clement Tabur in the opening round on May 26. And with no Carlos Alcaraz in Paris owing to a wrist injury, it’s surely Sinner’s tournament to lose.

And that is well and truly reflected in the Men’s French Open odds. Sinner is the red-hot favourite to win the only major that has so far eluded him. He also completed the rare feat of winning the Sunshine Double earlier this year.

However, as much of an unstoppable force that Sinner looks on current form, is there anyone who could realistically derail the Italian’s quest for glory? BetVictor News takes a closer look.

2026 French Open: Jannik Sinner Odds On To Win The Men’s Singles

At the time of writing, Jannik Sinner is 2/7 in the Men’s 2026 French Open winner market. Without rival Carlos Alcaraz to consider, Sinner appears to have a rather straightforward path to victory. And the fact that it’s extremely rare for outsiders to go deep into the tournament, especially if they haven’t entertained a good clay-court run going into the second major of the year.

Who Can Stop Jannik Sinner?

Over the last 11 months, only Novak Djokovic, Jakub Mensik and Alcaraz have beaten the imperious Jannik Sinner. Which further highlights just how good he is and perhaps the level of quality opponents has dropped.

Priced at 12/1 to win at Roland-Garros, Djokovic is arguably the strongest player that Sinner could falter to. And with the shorter price of 9/1 to go all the way, Alexander Zverev is also worth considering.

Up-and-coming Spanish star Rafael Jodar offers plenty of potential. The 19-year-old is tipped for a bright future in the game and he shouldn’t be ruled out lightly. Jodar is currently priced at 18/1. The other realistic contender to thwart Sinner is Casper Ruud.

But in reality, it would take a herculean effort, an element of luck and catching Sinner on an ‘off day’ to have a chance of beating the 24-year-old. If he remains fit and focused, a first-ever career Grand Slam beckons.
