This match against the Seahawks could really be make or break for them, as they face the Chiefs in their 7th game of the season. Most people will be heavily favoring the Kansas City Chiefs in that match, meaning that their encounter with the Seahawks could be the difference between a 3-4 and 2-5 record.
Comparably, if we take a look at the form of the Seattle Seahawks, they seem to be exceeding expectations as they sit atop the NFC West division. Their record so far is 3-2. However, all three of their wins came at the start of the season. San Francisco will be yet another tough test for a team that appears to have an upward trajectory, but we’re expecting a close, back-and-forth affair.
The reasoning for our pick of Seahawks +3.5 is relatively simple: Both teams look to be playing at an equal level thus far. Arguably, the Seahawks have more to play for, too, as they look to continue putting points on the board. On the other end of the scale, the 49ers are simply looking to avoid calamity in the early stages of the season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints (H2)

In their open five games, the Buccaneers have found great success in their offense, which has been bolstered in the 2024/25 season thanks to the rookie Bucky Irving. The 22-year-old has received plenty of praise already, having averaged 5.6 yards per carry this season so far. If he can keep this up while the rest of the team remains consistent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could certainly be on the rise. Of course, Baker Mayfield is always an x-factor for the Buccaneers, too, but his consistency is something that cannot be called into question, with the quarterback putting in a solid shift week in, week out.
The New Orleans Saints have been having a tougher time of it so far in the 2024/25 season, sitting on a record of 2 wins and 3 losses as we enter week 6. Admittedly, some of this unfavorable form is due to injury, with Derek Carr and potentially a few others set to miss the clash against the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Our pick for this one is the Buccaneers (-3.5), as their offensive playstyle could exploit the makeshift Saints’ defense. It’s likely that Jake Haenerr or Spencer Rattler will fill in the gap at the back of the New Orleans line and while both are incredibly talented, this won’t offer the stability that Derek Carr would normally provide. With a relatively strong showing from Bucky Irving and Baker Mayfield, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can definitely cover the spread here.
Game 3: Arizona Cardinals @ Green Bay Packers (H2)

If they can continue their impressive offensive momentum, they could certainly add another win to their current 4-2 talent, before a tough match in week 7 as they host the on-fire Houston Texans.
The Arizona Cardinals managed to shock the 49ers last week with a narrow 24-23 triumph. However, their form suggests that this high level of play is something they simply cannot maintain. When looking at their past 19 NFL games, dating back to last season, only 5 have resulted in a victory. Some believe that this win signifies a resurgence for the Cardinals. However, more positive results will be needed to determine whether or not this is the truth.
