The Wild Card round for the 2024/25 NFL season has concluded, giving us a bit more of an accurate idea of what we can expect from the rest of the playoffs. They all finished in favour of the team with better seeding, apart from the match between the Buccaneers and the Commanders. However, the team from Washington did have a significantly better regular season performance (13-5 as opposed to 10-8), so this scoreline wouldn’t be considered an upset by any stretch of the imagination.
NFL Divisional Round
The results from the Wild Card round have set up the following matches for the weekend spanning the 18th and 19th of January 2025:
- Houston Texans @ Kansas City Chiefs – Saturday 18th of January 2025, 21:30 pm BST
- Washington Commanders @ Detroit Lions – Sunday 19th of January 2025, 1:00 am BST

As always, the Divisional Round looks to be much more contested than the previous Wild Card round. The standout match looks to be the Buffalo Bills against the Baltimore Ravens, which sees the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the AFC face-off.
NFL Conference Championships
Next up are two matches that will determine the winner of each conference, the participants of which will be determined after the result of the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens match is finalised.
These games are scheduled for 20:00 pm BST and 23:30 BST on Sunday the 26th of January, as we find the final remaining two teams in the NFL 2024/25 season. According to the NFL playoff odds, the Conference Championships could see the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Baltimore Ravens, and the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Detroit Lions.
The Super Bowl
The 2024/25 Super Bowl is scheduled for the 9th of February 2025, with action set to get underway at 23:30 pm BST.
