It’s almost time to start thinking about Super Bowl Sunday as there are just two more rounds of matches to be played before the NFL season finale is upon us. Before we get there, however, there are four matches to look forward to in the 24/25 divisional weekend, with the victors from the wild card round making another appearance. Of course, the two favourites to win the entire thing, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions, are also introduced this week as just eight teams remain.
NFL Best Bets for the 24/25 Divisional Weekend
The Wild Card weekend went as planned, for the most part, with the Houston Texans stomping the Los Angeles Chargers 32-12, the Baltimore Ravens dismantling the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-14, and the Buffalo Bills showing their strength in a 31-7 beatdown against the Denver Broncos.
After these results, the Philadelphia Eagles would conquer the Green Bay Packers 22-11, with the only close encounter taking place between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Commanders, which ended 23-20 in favor of the team from Washington. While this was technically an upset, according to the seeding, many experts would still consider the Commanders a stronger team, due to their impressive form towards the end of the regular season. The 2024/25 Wild Card round would then be wrapped up with one last beating, as the Minnesota Vikings would fall 27-9 to an on-fire Los Angeles Rams.
While the Wild Card round is now behind us, there are four more games to look forward to this weekend, featuring 8 teams that are all more than capable of taking down their opponents. These games are split evenly across the weekend, with two games on Saturday the 18th and the other two on Sunday the 19th:

Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs got a BYE last week after finishing on top of the American Football Conference, with some people speculating that this could have a negative impact on their performance. We don’t think this will pose any issue to the Chiefs, as their BYE week in the 2024/25 season was followed by a string of four successive wins before falling to the Buffalo Bills in week 11.
If the Texans are to have a real chance in this one, Joe Mixon will need to step up his passing game and try to silence the Chiefs’ key player, Patrick Maholmes, who can seemingly do whatever he pleases in these high-pressure scenarios.
This could be a very entertaining game to watch, with both teams loving to score. The Chiefs and the Texans both averaged a score of around 22 points per match throughout the regular season, with their defenses not necessarily being the best in the NFL, despite what the team from Houston showed last week.

Next up is the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Los Angeles Rams in a match that many are confidently giving the edge to the home team. We’re in the same boat for this one, even though the Rams did put in a solid shift when beating the Vikings on Tuesday.
The real standout difference between these two teams is their strength at the back, with the team from Philadelphia allowing the fewest points in the entirety of the NFL throughout the regular season. You also have to factor in the home advantage here, too, with the fans inside of the Lincoln Financial Field always finding their voice to back the team, which is reflected in their 9-1 home record.
In Philadelphia’s last game, they were able to hold the Packers to just 10 points, an impressive feat considering that the team from Green Bay are the 8th highest-scoring team this season, while the Rams sit in 19th. All factors seemingly point towards a comfortable win for the Eagles and unless Cooper Kupp can find his form from a couple of years ago, this has all the makings of a blowout. Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills

According to statistics, the game between the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens is the closest encounter this weekend, with many fans around the world being particularly amped up for this one.
Both teams have spectacular offensive capabilities with James Cook and Josh Allen shining bright for the Bills, while Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry have had standout performances for the Ravens.
With that being said, it’s likely that this encounter could be won on the defensive side. The Ravens are slightly better in this respect, however, with the spread at just -1.5, this encounter really is too close to call.
