Darts Betting Tips: A Guide to Premier League Darts 2025

Darts Betting Tips 2025 Premier League

It feels like only yesterday that the PDC World Darts Championship was wrapping up, with even more darting action just around the corner. The Premier League Darts 2025 gets underway on February 6th, with matches taking place every Thursday until the winner is formally crowned on May 9th. In preparation for the new season, we’ve put together this guide to the Premier League Darts 2025, including the players, the schedule, and our top darts betting tips for the event itself!

Overview of Premier League Darts in 2025

The Darts Premier League will feature 8 of the top players from around the world, with Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, and Michael van Gerwen headlining this year’s event. Fan favourite Stephen Bunting will also be making an appearance, alongside Gerwyn Price, Chris Dobey, Rob Cross, and Nathan Aspinall.

In addition to the infamous Darts Premier League title, a prize pool of £1 million is up for grabs in the 2025 tournament, with the winner receiving a cheque for £275,000. The runner-up will be awarded with £125,00, while the semi-finalists receive £85,000 each. For 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th place, players are given £75,000, £70,000, £65,000, and £60,000, respectively.

The 2025 Darts Premier League will keep the same format that was introduced in 2022, with a small tournament being hosted each Thursday. All eight players will compete in best-of-11 matches, with the winners progressing to the semi-finals while the losing player is eliminated. This process repeats with the winners of each game earning themselves a spot in the finals.

As for scoring, the winner of each night will receive 5 points, alongside a £10,000 bonus, while the runner-up and other semi-finalists receive three and two points, respectively. The top four in the Darts Premier League table at the end of the 16 nights will then progress to the playoffs.

Each player will face each other once in the quarter-finals from weeks 1 to 7, before meeting again in weeks 9 and 15. The current positioning of each player will decide who they play in week 8 and 16.

Premier League Darts 2025 Betting Tips

Here at BetVictor, we have two betting predictions for the upcoming Premier League Darts 2025:

Luke Littler To Win

Littler is the favourite to retain his title according to the current darts odds and when you browse his results from the past year, it’s hard to disagree. The world champion will be looking to defend his Premier League title inside of the O2, as he will be hoping to continue his incredible start to 2025. Few players have been able to give Luke Littler a competitive match and if he’s performing as usual, it’s hard to see anyone beating him when it matters.

Michael van Gerwen To Reach The Final

Being the winningest player in Darts Premier League history, you simply can’t count out the Green Machine when it comes to making a run in any tournament. When he’s in his groove, he’s a very tough player to beat and if he can stay in contention as the Premier League rolls in, a spot in the final is certainly within his reach.

Premier League Darts Betting Favourites 2025

As mentioned earlier, Luke Littler is the favourite to win the Premier League Darts 2025 and retain his title. He is followed by Luke Humphries, who won the PDC World Championship in 2024 and Michael van Gerwen, the most successful player in the history of the event.

Here’s a look at all of the players, in order of their current Premier League Darts betting odds for 2025:

  • Luke Littler
  • Luke Humphries
  • Michael van Gerwen
  • Stephen Bunting
  • Gerwyn Price
  • Chris Dobey
  • Rob Cross
  • Nathan Aspinall
