Dayton Flyers (23-6) prepare to round up the NCAA regular season at the UD Arena, facing the VCU Rams (19-11). The Flyers have been spectacular all season and have been vying for the Atlantic 10 Conference Champions. However, with the Richmond Spiders and the Loyola Ramblers sitting at the top of the log and having two games left before the end of the season, the Flyers don’t seem to have a chance.

The Flyers possess the best home record in the conference (14-0) and are looking to finish the regular season perfectly on home court. However, they face a tough test against the Rams in their final home game on Friday.

The Dayton Flyers

The Flyers have made the UD Arena a fortress so far in the regular season with a 14-0 record. The Rams might eventually be their next victim on home ground when they face off on Friday. Flyers’ (13-4, A-10) last home game was against the Davidson Wildcats and, in their usual manner, they made no mistake, winning 80-66. They also won their last road game against the Saint Louis Billiken 100-83 after three consecutive losses away from home. This time around, DaRon Holmes II, Koby Brea and Kobe Elvis ensured they secured an away win after a couple of road game losses. Hence, they will go into the game against the Rams more confidently and look forward to the challenge of ending the season with a win on their home court.

The VCU Rams

Before the start of the Conference tournament, the VCU Rams (11-6, A-10) will visit the Flyers, looking to finish with a win. However, their previous two games have been disappointing, losing on the road and their home court. They faced the Duquesne Dukes on Tuesday night and struggled with their performances in both the first and second half of the game. They lost 31-27 in the first half, while the second half was a 38-32 scoreline. The Rams couldn’t stop the Dukes Guard Dae Dae Grant, who finished the game with 26 points. Undoubtedly, the Rams missed their top performer, Max Shulga, on the night as he continued to nurse a back spasm injury. Joe Bamisile and Zeb Jackson tried to make up for his absence, but their performances weren’t good enough. Nevertheless, they will look forward to causing an upset against the Dayton Flyers as they hope to finish the season as high on the log as possible.

Head-to-Head Flyers vs Rams

As the Dayton Flyers and the VCU Rams return to action on Friday night, bettors can place bets on this game and other NCAAB games of the night. Interestingly, the Rams have won three of their last five encounters between the two sides, the most recent being a 49-47 win at the Siegel Center. Dayton’s Nate Santos and DaRon Holmes II were the stars on the night, scoring 19 and 12 points, respectively. Despite winning, Rams Guard Max Shulga performed poorly, netting just two points.
