TCU Horned Frogs vs Oklahoma Sooners

The TCU Horned Frogs (20-11) and the Oklahoma Sooners (20-11) begin their Big 12 Conference tournament title charge in the second round. The teams will lock horns at the Sprint Center, hoping to advance to the quarterfinals. The Horned Frogs lost their final game in the regular season and finished 8th. Although it was just a two point defeat against the UCF Knights, there’s no denying they have struggled with their performances throughout the season. The first half of the game against the Knights ended in a draw. They couldn’t maintain the energy in the second half and slipped to defeat.

While they finished ahead of Wednesday’s opposition (the Oklahoma Sooners), we expect the encounter to be an end-to-end game. Like the Horned Frogs, the Sooners lost their final game to the Texas Longhorns, falling to defeat in both the first and second halves. Despite Rivaldo Soares’ effort in the game, it wasn’t enough to match Tyrese Hunter’s display, who scored 30 points to lead the Longhorns to the win. The Sooners have already faced the Horned Frogs this season and have lost. This time, Porter Moser might require another tactic, something different from their initial meeting, if he wishes to progress.

Head-to-Head TCU vs Oklahoma

In the last five meetings between these two teams, the Horned Frogs have won four.  They met once in the Big 12 Conference this season in a game that ended 80-71 in favor of TCU. This same team also won their last Big 12 Conference tournament game in 2017, 82-63. Without a doubt, the Horned Frogs are definitely the better side, but Porter Moser may be plotting something different this time around.
