Nigel Farage Odds on I’m a Celebrity

Nigel Farage celeb

It’s just 6 days to go until the kick-off of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and rumours have already started to swirl about who might be in the camp this year. While the likes of JLS singer Marvin Humes, boxer Tony Bellew, singer Jamie-Lynn Spears and legendary jockey Frankie Dettori seem likely to make an appearance, it’s another politician that has most of the media stories swirling currently. After Matt Hancock came 3rd in the 2022 series of I’m a Celebrity, sending ratings soaring and his own social media accounts skyrocketing in new followers, it’s rumoured former UKIP leader, Nigel Farage, will be making waves this year.

Having been rumoured to have turned down requests to enter the jungle as far back as 2016, Farage would be a huge coup for the I’m a Celebrity production set as he would be sure to draw in huge numbers of viewers. While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, his ‘giving up’ of beer and arrival in Brisbane last week, have created quite a stir should he, as expected, be announced as a participant in this years’ show. In fact, several prominent bookies have begun to offer odds on the programme and have Farage in the top 5 at current to win. According to BetVictor, at the time of writing, the Nigel Farage Odds to win I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! are at 8/1*, meaning for every £10 bet, £90 would be paid out. Currently, the highest backed celeb is former Big Brother winner, Josie Gibson, at 3/1*, followed by former Made in Chelsea star, Sam Thompson, at 7/2*.

So why would Nigel Farage be such a huge attraction for I’m a Celebrity? The love him or hate him, Marmite-style character, has been hugely influential in British politics, from his leadership of the UKIP party, to his bellowing voice in the ‘Vote Leave’ campaigns around Brexit. Having retired from UKIP in 2018 and politics altogether in 2021, his recent years have involved him releasing his own line of gins and appearing on GB News as a presenter. But perhaps his greatest appeal, even more than hoping Jamie-Lynn Spears will spill the beans on her sister, is his controversial lust for public exposure and his incredibly devout supporters who will tune-in to watch him embrace challenges and talk about his opinions on an undoubtedly new and far-reaching platform. Who knows, if he manages to outperform the other contestants and land the main prize, maybe he’ll even jump back into politics and use his new-found reach to deliver his message louder than ever before! For now, we will just wait to see if he even makes it to the jungle, but remember to keep an eye on the latest Nigel Farage odds to see what happens next.
