Next Oldham Manager Odds
Just a few weeks ago, Oldham Athletic parted way with David Unsworth after a rather poor start to the 23/24 season, leading to a spark of interest amidst the next Oldham Athletic manager odds. Finishing 12th last season with a strong run at the end, the Latics’ summer investment and faith in Unsworth didn’t live up to their hopes and despite a strong 5-1 win against Aldershot Town in their second fixture of the season, the earlier 4-0 defeat and multiple successive draws and losses meant the managers time looked untenable.
However, since the interim placement of midfielder Steve Thompson, a successive run of three victories and a draw, have lifted the Latics up to 12th, leading to speculation that the next Oldham Athletic manager could in fact be Thompson himself, who has already stated his willingness to make this caretaker position a permanent job post. While Mike Williamson and Micky Mellon were early favourites to take the position, the Oldham board may have a hard choice on their hands, when swathes of fans have started heading to away games, joyfully chanting ‘Thompson’s blue and white army’ in recent weeks.
