With two games left to the end of the NCAA regular season, The Alabama Crimson Tide (20-9) takes on the Florida Gators (20-9). It’s looking more like a fight until the last day as the Crimson Tide seeks a chance to beat the Gators to close the gap at the top of the Southeastern conference table, putting pressure on the Tennessee Volunteers. Can the Crimson Tide take a step further, or will the Gators end this dream of winning the Southeastern Conference championship?
The Alabama Crimson Tide
In less than two weeks, the Alabama Crimson Tide (12-4, SEC) meets the Florida Gators again. This time, they battle each other at the O’Connell Center. Head Coach Nate Oats will be looking to have another win over the Gators. It wouldn’t come easy this time as they face a team with a 7-game home winning streak. Also, they go into this encounter with a loss from their last game, losing to the Tennessee Volunteers.
It seemed like they had a plan to halt the Volunteers’ 5-game winning streak in the first half as they won 41-39. However, we saw a different display from the Crimson Tide in the second half, falling to a 42-33 defeat, allowing the Volunteers to extend their winning run to 6. If they intend to beat the Gators in one of their most competitive games of the season, they’ll need more than just the service of Mark Sears, who scored 22 points in the last game. The likes of Grant Nelson and Rylan Griffen need to come to the party.
The Florida Gators
Some of the best performances from the Gators (10-6, SEC) this season have come on their home court. With this in mind, they’ll enter this game confident that a victory is possible. Like their opponent, they lost their previous game against the South Carolina Gamecocks 82-76. It was a road game against one of the best sides in the Southeastern Conference, and they showed a glimpse of being a worthy opponent.
The first half saw the Gators triumph with a 37-31 scoreline. Things changed in the second half, leading to the Gamecocks bagging the win, a convincing 51-39 scoreline to put the game to bed. While the Gators have quite an incredible home run in a couple of games, letting this get into their head may not help them, as a little distraction could see the Crimson Tide hurt them.
Head-to-Head Alabama vs Florida
The last five (5) meetings between these teams have recorded four wins for the Alabama Crimson Tide. In their most recent encounter, on February 22, 2024, at the Coleman Coliseum, the Crimson Tide won 98-93. It was an exciting display from players on both teams, with the Gators’ Guard Walter Clayton Jr. recording the most points (27) on the night. Also, the Gators lost at home 70-83 to the Crimson Tide back in 2022. It’s an encounter to watch, and bettors can place various bets on this game.
Kansas Jayhawks vs Kansas State Wildcats

On the other hand, Jerome Tang and his boys are 2-7 on the road. These statistics show that the Wildcats (7-9, Big 12) are the underdog. However, they’ve done it earlier this season, so they might be coming in with another surprise. Like in their previous game against the Cincinnati Bearcats that had Tylor Perry scoring 26 points, the same points he recorded last month against the Jayhawks, you can’t completely rule this team out.
