NAP of the Day – Wednesday 26th June

We were out of luck yesterday at Brighton and today we head north to the other end of England in search of a winner. Carlisle hosts its historic Carlisle Bell race that has heritage, dating back to 1599. Elsewhere we have meetings at Salisbury, Naas and Ffos Las on Turf. Kempton is the all weather card today whilst jumps fans head to Worcester.

NAP of the Day

Turning back to Carlisle, the historic handicap may not be full of big-name horses but is a significant race for the track and one of those brilliant pieces of racing history that the sport is so rich in. The NAP will come earlier on the Carlisle card with the 3.35 a fillies listed race over seven furlongs looking an interesting affair. Jabaara represents Rodger Varian and this last time out winner saw that effort boosted when Soprano who was behind her that day, winning the Sandringham at Royal Ascot. The win at Musselburgh was impressive and a replication of that fine effort should have her bang in the mix to win again here.
