Racing today comes from Goodwood and Redcar on the flat, Listowel and Perth over jumps and Kempton on the all-weather. The Kerry National looks a serious race and is another notch closer to the jumps season proper.
NAP of the Day
The NAP runs in the last at Listowel, in the two-mile four furlong bumper. It is rare we see bumpers over further than two miles and we have a decent field here. Ira Hayes won a three-mile UK point to point nicely by 11 lengths. The second that day has since won a maiden hurdle at Hexham to show some substance to the form. I think now in the care of John McConnell this five-year-old by Mahler can go well on his first start in Ireland.
