We have a brilliant day of midweek action as both jumping and flat HQ’s are in action. Cheltenham hosts seven very competitive races over jumps whilst Newmarket has some brilliant flat races which could just see a future star or two. We also have Kempton on the polytrack later tonight for you all weather fans. It was fantastic to nab a 5/2 winner yesterday with our first tip of the week. Lets try and build on that with today’s selection.
NAP of the Day
I wanted to try and find something at a bigger price but one horse kept standing out as a potential NAP for today. Given Dance Sequence is 4/1 for the 1000 Guineas next month she really should be taking the Nell Gwyn today. Unbeaten from her two starts to date, one on each track at Newmarket, she was a bright light last year in a tricky season for Godolphin. As you would expect from the boys in blue she has a brilliant page and, having won on good and soft, today’s going presents no issue. The form of her second win at Newmarket in October has yet to be fully tested but, from those who have run the fourth, Chic Colombine won a listed race in France last month and the fifth has also gone in (all be it in a fillies handicap). Today, she needs to show why she warrants being the ante post favourite for the 1000 Guineas and I expect her to step up today and put in a big run on route to the second classic of the season.
