Another second yesterday for the Daily NAP. Despite being well backed, he was beaten by a horse you need to add to your notebook. I think St Irene is an above average type given the manor of his win. On with the action today which sees day one of the Dante meeting at York. Flat racing is also at Bath and Sligo. Jumping cards take place at Ffos Las, Tipperary and Perth.
Musidora Musings
The race of the day comes with the seven-runner Musidora that could have Epsom Oaks implications. The Gosden team have a fantastic record in the race, having won seven recent runnings of this contest. His twice-raced Kingman filly Friendly Soul remains unbeaten having made a great seasonal reappearance at Newmarket when taking the Pretty Polly in good fashion. Her six rivals should give her a fair bit to think about, but she looks the one they all have to beat.
NAP of the Day
We are going to head to the 7.10 at Bath for the NAP. Hill Spirit was seen recently at Brighton where he was not without his backers for his flat handicap debut. He just looked a shade green when in front and the cheekpieces going on make perfect sense. The trip and ground look no issue for the NAP and Archie Watson has a fairly profitable record with his runners at Bath.
