We hit the crossover part of the respective seasons with the Grand National meeting fast approaching as well as the Flat season starting to move into action. Today we have Pontefract’s first flat card of the season, Ludlow (NAP) hosting jumping and Wolverhampton your late all-weather action.
NAP of the Day
The card at Ludlow is short on runners but the NAP comes in the 4.00 which is a two-mile handicap hurdle where I am very keen on Harry Derham’s Balhambar. Harry has had a great season and I expect will kick on again next year. This horse who started life out on the flat really should be better than his opening mark of 100 over hurdles, he showed decent improvement to finish third after two moderate efforts in maiden hurdles before that. He has only been with Harry for that most recent jumps run and providing he has improved his jumping he should take all the beating here.
