Today we have two jumps cards at Market Rasen and Taunton (NAP), plus an all-weather meeting tonight at Newcastle to enjoy. Just a quick note on Booster Bob’s yesterday at Carlisle. I expected something to potentially come to light after his poor effort but neither the trainer’s representative nor the vet could find anything immediately in the aftermath of note wrong with the horse to explain the run.
NAP of the Day
We aim to get back to winning ways at Taunton where Into The Park will be the selection in the handicap hurdle at 3.40. This horse was last seen winning a race BetVictor sponsored at Newbury in good fashion. On paper it didn’t look the strongest of renewals but the manor of the win certainly impressed me. He goes handicapping off a mark of 120. It is interesting that connections go into a handicap rather than aim to win a novice with a penalty. I will be disappointed if he can’t land a race of this nature off his mark before the season is out.
