We have ourselves a busy Thursday with Listowel’s harvest festival meeting continuing with a jumps card, we also have national hunt racing in Scotland with Perth hosting an eight race card.
The Flat action should be top class over the next few days at Newmarket, that is supported with racing on turf at Pontefract whilst Southwell is your late all weather option.
NAP of the Day
At the time of writing Newmarket has eased to good to soft and has more rain due. With that in mind looking at the Tattersalls Stakes I think you can find value in taking on market principles Monumental and Symbol Of Honour.
The best placed to my eye to do so is Diego Ventura, a winner on yielding ground at Naas in July that effort saw him transferred into the Wathnan Racing roster. His most recent run was at Ascot on soft ground, where despite a slow start won again. Both starts seem to have form behind him that stacks up, he has to display that a further furlong will be up his street and improve a bit again on ratings. To my eye he is well equipped to deal with today’s challenge and can land us a winner at a decent price.
