NAP of the Day – Thursday 23rd May

Another decent run without landing the win from the NAP yesterday who shortened from 5/1 to run well at Southwell. Today, we have action at Catterick, Sandown and Lingfield on the flat. Chelmsford hosts an all-weather card and jumps fans can enjoy action in Ireland at Limerick.

NAP of the Day

The best of the action today, and the NAP, comes at Sandown where we have a reduced field for the Brigadier Gerard. Just four go to post which is a shame to see but the ground has come just right for Royal Rhyme. Karl Burkes’ runners boast a near perfect record when running on soft ground. The only loss on that going coming in a group one at Ascot at the end of last season. He was sandwiched between Point Lonsdale and Dubai Honour that day who have both returned with wins this season. The first-time out run isn’t a negative with his record fresh a good one. It will be a big surprise to me if Royal Rhyme doesn’t take advantage of the conditions here.
