Great to get a winner yesterday at Market Rasen. Before we get to the NAP for today and, just in case you missed it, we saw a 2000 Guineas contender throw their hat in the ring with an impressive effort at Southwell yesterday. Night Raider for Karl Burke won his second start emphatically to end up 12/1 for the first classic of the season.
NAP of the Day
We have action today at Cork, Ludlow and Chepstow over jumps whilst Southwell is your late all-weather card. The NAP runs in the last at Chepstow and represents BetVictor sponsored duo Gavin Sheehan and Jamie Snowden. They scored yesterday with Golden Maverick and I expect La Marquise to do the same today in the closing bumper at Chepstow. A decent winner on debut she was sent off favourite for a good bumper at Cheltenham on New Years day. That run for whatever reason didn’t quite showcase her true ability in my view. In these calmer waters I expect her to bounce back to form with a win in the last before she goes hurdling next season.
